It was really great thank you.

It was a nice stay, we would recommend this camp to anyone. You will see us again.

great stuff, visting every year since 25 years

We had a great stay in the park despite the heat wave. Our cabin was lovely, the staff friendly - a great short trip. Thank you.

Liza Wilmot

Our arrival at the Park was greeted with friendly, efficient staff. We were given a few brochures of the camps and a large map of the park. The camp was well run, clean and staff very helpful. We enjoyed our stay at this camp and were extremely lucky to view lots of game.

Mr Frans Venter

The trip was great. The rest camp was wonderful! Just sitting at the lookout point in the camp and saw 3 of the Big 5 was an experience of a life time

This Restcamp is beautiful and peacefull. It's so modern and the staff was very friendly and informative. My family and I loved it, we had so much fun and will surely love to come back, also refer our friend and relatives.

Patricia McInerney

Very Nice and quiet.

Albertus Olivier

New and very nice.

Glen Jackson

Bungalow was very adequate for our purposes, clean bedding and towels, comfortable beds and a very efficient air conditioner. Although on very hot nights a ceiling fan would have been a welcome addition to the furnishings.

Ross Fyffe

hennie steyn

Absolutely perfect! Thank you!

Alan Currin

Had a very nice stay.

Jennifer Steiner

Absolutely a lovely place to stay in. Very clean and tidy.

We loved every minute of our trip and I would have rated it 5 except for one disappointment, when we arrived at camp reception we were told that we could not book a night drive etc., as we were only 2 people, in order to book you have to have a minimum of 4 people in your party. I asked why and got no response, the rule makes absolutely no sense to me.

Ann Hindle

Beautiful quiet and neat house......the linen and towels were fresh smelling as was all the kitchen utensils

petunia Mabuse

camp is not visually the most attractive, but the best game was spotted in the surrounding areas. Bungalow had the advantage of an indoor kitchen which aided in the fight against bugs.

Peter Edwards

Love this campsite... Spacious and so peaceful! Amazing sightings always close by! Will be back soon.

Lindy Trollip

Went for my wife's 50th birthday weekend and she says it could not have wished for anything better.

We took overseas visitors to the Kruger Park during the hottest time of the year - crazy, I know. Berg-en-Dal bungalows were an oasis of cool restfulness. They were clean and a joy to visit. We also enjoyed the pool a lot.

Martin willemse

It was so easy to make a booking with you.

Chris De b Rruin

We had a party of 8 in the Rhino guest house. The lodge was immaculate and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would be good if the gas bar could be made to work and if WiFi could be made more accessible at the Reception.

Tony Klein

A beautiful camp with an exceptionally clean bungalow!

Antoinette Myburgh

All was perfect for us.

jargen Grüneberg

The chalet was clean and everything worked . The restaurant was very nice.

Glynn Watkins

Toilets and shower facilities not adaquite for the number of stands in the caravan park.

Willem Saayman

Good - excellent location within camp and value for money.

Kimmo Heldan

Very easy to reach, near the south gate. It was the location where I saw the most amount of animals.

Rodrigo Paiva

As a group of 4 Adults and two children in 2 MP-V's we arrived early on the morning of October 1st at Malelane gate. The gate staff were friendly and professional, with even the assigned SAPS officer showing the kids the big skulls outside and telling them about the animals, while we went through the sign in motions. Our camp for the first night (Bergendal) was close to the gate, so we did a short circuit around the area before going there. The southern tip is teeming with a huge variety of wildlife, and we had seen three of the big five within a few hours. On arrival at Bergendal, the check in process was seamless, the staff were excellent, and the amenities at the camp were brilliant. The guest house we had booked was very clean, modern and comfortable with everything we needed and more. The following morning we headed North toward Skukuza taking a variety of back roads, to go to watering holes, viewpoints and hides. We reached Skukuza Around 1:pm and by then had seen Lion feeding, Elephant herds, several Rhino, Giraffe, all manner of Buck, and even a Cheetah. Skukuza was great, and we spent the evening having a barbecue. The only disappointment was there was no facility at the restaurant or bar to watch the Springboks play in the Rugby World cup. On previous visits there has always been facilities at the bar or Restaurant? The next day we drove toward Pretoriuskop leaving early, and completed our trip with a spectacular leopard sighting, no more than 10 to 15 meters away from us. All in another very memorable long weekend in the Kruger, I will keep coming back for more.

Gary Longshaw

Anita Eggestein

We had a wonderful stay at this camp. The ablutions were spotless, staff very friendly and helpful and our campsite on the fence was stunning. my only issue is the Rhino trail which needs attention and repair.

Christopher Boreham

Good accommodation.

Paul Tubb

Izelle Briers

Very Happy with facilities and preferred the restaurant setup as opposed to the Mugg & Bean.

Very satisfactory. The chalets were clean and neat and very well stocked for self catering. We had beautiful bird sightings right on the stoeps. The whole camp is a pleasure to stay in.

Jan Boshoff

Comfortable enough room with appropriate quality standards. Reception staff were great.

Giulio Magni

A Great stay in the park game viewing excellent Staff at Berg en dal first class very friendly and helpful.

Sean Murphy

All was great. The check in, the room, the services. Well done.

Moshe Lerner

Simple, clean accommodation. Everything you need. Only complaint was the shower, which was a water saving one, understandably, but was rather painful to use! Otherwise the cabin was great, would definitely stay again.

Naomi Roe

We had a stunning weekend, all the aspects of the game were good, pleasant, helpful staff all round. We were depressed to see the park so dry, but we really enjoyed ourselves.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

tarynne lucas

Ablutions clean, neat and well maintained. Boiling water was a nice surprise. The Blue Electricity plugs connections was a surprise as I did not read this on the brochure - to be bought. Overall it was very nice as all the facilities are well maintained.

Pierre Liebenberg

Very nice camp to stay in.. accommodation is always comfortable.

We really enjoyed Berg en dal tent camp. Everything was always so nice and clean. We had one incident with a noisy camper but he was delt with by the Parks Ranger as we complaint so there the service was also very good.

Charl Schoeman

Excellent staff , clean facilities , great experience.

Good Reception and value for money. Stood a long time at the gate entering as the day visitor quota was full and we did not know that we could pass. We saw a lot of animals but no lions/leopards.

Berg n Dal is tucked away in the hills and seems to be in a dry part of the park. The view from the camp is limited but there are plenty Rhino in close proximity. Food and accommodation is good.

Ray Blignaut

Comfortable and clean surroundings. We had a very pleasant stay for the two days.

A van Wieringen Group 1

Great stay, lovely lodge, enjoyed every moment.

Tumelo Sebata

No complaints.

Accommodation was comfortable clean and good value. The camp has a lovely setting amongst the trees with a dam. The service at the restaurant was unfortunately very slow.

Hugh Wallace

My family party of 13 thoroughly enjoyed the short time we spent at Berg-en-Dal. The accommodation was more than adequate and the game viewing wonderful. We enjoyed the well stocked shop and found all the staff efficient and friendly.

Prudence Allan

Location great. Accommodation and service great. Bathroom a bit cramped.

Andre Brummer

Great stay. Thanks very much.

We were really impressed with the competency and friendliness of all the staff in both camps - well done in a South Africa where things aren't getting better! The Kruger and it's staff is really an export product for South Africa! Well done!

Marius van Vuuren

Wonderful experience.

Jors Reynders

elmarie horn

Saw the big five! Very happy.

Renate Ferreira

Fridge wasn't working, so took some time to get a new fridge but otherwise the staff were friendly and helpful.

Naiomi Benn

Our stay at the different camps was absolutely fantastic. Each camp has its own unique charm and we enjoyed every moment of it. We relaxed; it was quite, clean, green and just overall “lekker”. I will definitely stay at each of the camps again and the staff was always friendly and helpful. Thanks for making our stay so memorable.

Our first time in this camp and it was absolutely fantastic. The camp is clean, beautiful, green and so peaceful. We will definitely book there again.

We stayed really nice at the camp. All good and thumbs up!!

Matthew Bowler

It was great as always Kruger is a very special place, please just check the water is constant running out of one of the ablutions at the caravan park but yes we enjoyed it tremendously and would definitely visit again.

Camp very quiet and peaceful, accommodation very neat and clean, comfortable. A better stove instead of two plates would be nice, perhaps an oven. Otherwise a wonderful stay, would recommend ..... saw wild dog!!!

I enjoyed my stay in Berg&Dal; .The facilities were top class.

Willie Theron

One of the best camps in the park. Saw rhinos, buffaloes and a beautiful cheetah on the first day. Saw elephants and lions on the second day.Lots of other animals. The chalet was comfortable and clean

Abraham Koekemoer

Nice Comfortable. Stayed many times before at Berg en Dal.

Clean, nice atmosphere, nice to have seats by the dam so that you can watch the animals (we saw elephants, a croc and buffalo when we were there)

James Stanley

Enjoyed it very much. Lovely camp.

Mirae Wilkens

As always this is the camp to be!. The staff is always smiling , friendly and ever so helpful, they make you feel so welcome. The camp is always clean and the guest house was great. Can't wait until December to visit again!!

Beautiful bungalow with a terrace next to the fence. We could watch buffalo and elephants strolling along while eating our dinner, fantastic. The bungalow was well equipped and very tidy.

Sandra de Kock

Bathrooms are immaculate. Toilet paper provided. Bath and showers. Swimming pool very well maintained. Staff very willing and able to help set up your camp site. Lovely, treed campsites. Enjoyed the call of the hyenas at night. Will definitely visit again. Reception lady can do with some customer care training.

Grant Gietl

A very comfortable night was enjoyed at Berg-en-Dal and we would happily return to this camp. The game spotting was excellent in this area - generally a very comfortable night

Stella Petersen

What a wonderful experience at Berg-and-Dal Rest Camp. Saw 3 of the Big 5 around the camp. Staff was very friendly and efficient!

As always a comfortable camp. We saw wild dog for the first time ever in over 40 years of Game Park viewing.

Heiko Bron

We loved it at Berg en Dal. Our Chalet was lovely and clean. They have a beautiful swimming pool area. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Jeanette van Rooyen

We camp at Berg en Dal for the past 5 years and we will always go back..

Stefanus J C Opperman

It's a lovely camp, the staff are friendly, please keep up the great work. The camp offers lovely bush surroundings and the kids especially enjoyed the pool after a day out. The night drives are just over priced especially for the South Africans.

Excellent reception at the camp on entering, met with friendly efficient staff, in general this camp was great and we had a awesome time there you will see us again at this site.

Maintenance can be improved but the camp location is good!

Hilmar van der Berg

All the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was more than satisfactory. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Shirley Dunkley

I did not know that I could have selected a particular unit - the one assigned to us was not ideally located on the perimeter. The sewerage system behind our unit kept overflowing, it smelled terrible and we had to dodge the stream on the way to our car. Otherwise a good experience.

Excellent camp service good. Chalet of highest standard well serviced will defiantly stay here again.

Sandra Webb

Our stay at Berg-en-Dal was very exciting as always and we will surely be back. There has never been a visit to Kruger National Park without visiting the area. We view more animals down south of the park than any other area in the park.

Oupa Morudu

Reception - friendly and efficient Shop - friendly, helpful and efficient Chalet - comfortable

As usual the KNP was great. The only criticism we have is the fact that the manager of the Wimpy at Pretoriuskop decided to erect a jumping castle on the lawn between the Wimpy and the shop. Instead of listening to the birds (who are now gone) we were irritated by an air compressor while having breakfast. The manager was very proud of his initiative, even after I called him an idiot. I will visit the park again next year but out of principle will avoid Pretoriuskop. The manager of the camp was not available when I requested to speak to him.

Andre Barnard

Rondavels are great. The feeling of the camp is great but for the price, the kitchen should be stocked with stove and microwave.

Michael Sims

Very nice accommodation and the camp itself was very nice. Excellent service at reception, but what a disappointment, the swimming pool was slimy with algae.

cheryl whitcombe

We had an absolutely amazing time! The staff were friendly, facilities are great and the pool was always clean. We will definitely come back

Laura Cameron

It is always such a treat to stay in the Kruger! My parents this time stayed as this was a special birthday present for them from all of us kids. They had a brilliant time and loved every minute of it. Next time it will be all of us again - cannot wait!!! Thank you so much for sorting this out for us - as always you guys are legendary!!!!

Jeanette Taylor

Staff were all friendly and helpful. Guides Martin and Metwel on our bush walk were both wonderful. Accommodations were very nice. Thanks!

We spent really nice time at Berg-En-Dal. Bungalow was comfortable. Very quiet environment. We felt in complete osmisis with nature. Climate was cool and we enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Jos Nanette

Lovely stay - very clean . Staff very helpful & friendly Did not use restaurant facilities We did find Berg-en-Dal superior to Satara, in accommodation - although price was the same

1st time in the park and will definitely will go again!!!

Francis Strydom

Nicely situated in the camp. facilities good. cleaniness good. size very good. Maintenance very poor.

Hans de Kok

We enjoyed our stay at Berg-en-Dal. Everything clean, staff friendly. You will see us again.

Jan de Bruin

We will most definitely visit the park again, we really enjoyed the time spent. The staff were very helpful.

Bernard Gerber

Nice bungalows, fantastic restaurant. rhino walk was great. Many animals around

Marc Konrad

Top stuff.

Gavin Bailey

Had an excellent time. Staff and amenities were well run and in good condition. We'll certainly be back.

sean turner

The accommodation met with some problems as their were no lights in the spare room. I did not report it as we were out most of the day and did not want strangers in our room. I found it odd that the cleaner did not report this as the room is very dark, even in the day. We managed though. I found the kitchen utensils to be very limited as well as serving bowls, but overall we managed. It is the bush afterall. Everything else was very comfortable and cannot complain. The place is kept clean and the staff are friendly. Our viewings / sightings were amazing!! That's why we were there. We had a great time - thank you!

Jenny Le Roux

Berg & Dal is a wonderful camp to stay in. The chalets here are some of the best Kruger Park has to offer. Ask for one of the upgraded chalets (units 20 to 33). They are quite a bit bigger than the older ones and have a huge shower and separate toilet. The beds are not built into the walls like in the older ones and can be moved together, and the undercover patio is great. We stayed in no 25 (a three bed chalet) on the perimeter, which was awesome. The camp is just a bit far from the other camps so be prepared to spend many hours driving. We love going to Lower Sabie (where we could not find accommodation) as you see a lot of animals there, and found it very effective to get there by exiting at Malelane gate and re-entering at Crocodile Bridge gate. On that tar road up to Skukuza we saw the Big Five and a lot of other animals within a morning's drive.

Wonderful camp and well worth the money.

Patricia Aughey

Beautiful spot and reception. Aides were great.

We had a very nice time at Berg en Dal! Beautiful stay, great restaurant, couldn't have asked for more.

Kate Earle

Nice location great game viewing, our accommodation was clean and comfortable. With a nice BBQ area and outside dining area, it is good to see that the poor dining from last year in all the camps have now got Mugg and Bean restaurants which is significantly better, food and service much improved.

Thank you it was a great trip, saw wild dogs on the 1st morning Big 5 on the second day. Only thing that was not so good at Berg-en-Dal was that the restaurant did not have what we wanted on the menu, the ladies showers only had one fully functional shower and the camp was full.

Unit was clean but needs maintenance.

Robbie Schipper

We have stayed at Berg-en-Dal two years in a row - lovely camp, lots of birds, and to be recommended! Will come back next year!

Enjoyable, comfortable. Thank you.

We enjoyed staying in Berg-en-Dal Restcamp.

lekker man lekker x

The accommodation was very lovely and the game viewing absolutely amazing!!!

We camped at Berg en Dal. The restrooms were always clean, the staff were incrediably friendly and welcoming. A brilliant experience. The Malelane entry gate was a little disorganized.

We booked into Berg-en-Dal restcamp, very friendly staff at reception. Nice and clean accommodation.Over 3 days we had lunch at the Wimpy at Pretoriuskop and brunch at the Mugg & Bean at Lower Sabie. Special encounter with hyenas next to the road (OMS! how they smell) and 3 cheetahs on a gravel road. Very, very nice visit to the Kruger!

Krista Mare

Fantastic location. neat well equipped chalet. Great experience.

I was very impressed with the unit. I requested against the bush and I received a lovely unit - very private on the bush! The linen and bedding is of very good quality. Nice and new. We also had everything we needed in the unit. The camp - very nice and lovely atmosphere.

Riana De Kock

Good Value.

Johan Grobbelaar

The camp has been improved with new beds, crisp linen, new kitchen cupboards. The wildlife is outstanding. everyone should visit the Park and contribute to ensuring it is kept forever.

Grant Rowe

Hello, we believe that Sanparks offer a real good deal at all camp sites we have stayed at. Good ablusions and facilities. We really enjoy all camping. Thank you.

Zosia Greaves

Both camps were clean and very nice, will definitely go back again.

Had a fabulous holiday at Kruger Park. The Berg en Dal rest camp is in excellent condition and the facilities are superb. Will definitely return for an extended stay in the near future.

Sharlene Chetty

Thank you a very pleasant stay. the camping sites are just a bit uneven.

Heste Theron

Was good

Anita van der Merwe

Had an awesome stay at Berg en Dal. Accommodation was neat and tidy. And fully equipped as promised.

Robyn Petzer

The early morning Safari was disappointing we saw very little. The room and accommodation was beautiful. Will be back.

The camp was very full and 3 toilets in the ladies bathroom was too little. The bathrooms very kept very clean considering the feet!

N Janse Van Rensburg

Great!!! Will be back!!!

We treated an overseas visitor to the "Nature Experience" and were very fortunate to repeatedly see all of the Big Five per day!The Cottage is comfortable, but the kitchen outlay is not very practical. We found that all the Park employees are very friendly and helpful, ensuring that our stay in the Park was an unforgettable experience!

very relaxed and enjoyable stay at berg en dal. Staff is very friendly and helpfull.

jaco claassens

Loved it.

Wonderful to stay in Berg en Dal. Pay extra for an adult and the bungalo is big enough for an extra bed.

annette snyman

The restuarants just don't have such good service and is very over priced for us locals.

Joe Barclay

The camp was excellent, service by staff was excellent, park was in good condition, but some roads poor due to heavy rains.

Never ceases to excite.

john weatherby-boehm

The best of the camps.

john weatherby-boehm

Hi there. We had an awesome time and will return. They only problem we had is with the ablution blocks. They need to be made bigger with more shower, baths and toilets, and also we had endless problems with hot water. The quality and price of the restaurant's food also needs to be addressed. Except for that we had a very nice time.

Second stay here, camp is still a fine place to set up for SW Kruger. Very comfortable bungalows. Only negative is that some furniture, e.g. outside table/chairs are beginning to deteriorate

Brian Dedman

Loved our stay at Berg-en-dal. Our bungalow was awesome, staff was great. A wonderful start to our Kruger trip.

Pam Carlson

A truly fantastic camp. saw my first leopard on the first day, there is such a large array of animals, this camp is surely worth a visit, in my case there wil be a return visit

Peter Lefever

Jolanda Ferriera

I found the facilities clean and well run. Staff were friendly which makes all the difference. Picnic spots are fantastic.

Paul Carter

Very clean and well managed.

Ernie de Witt

The park was beautiful as always. The berg en dal camp needs to up its game but it is easy to do. The unit was old, dingy and hopelessly under-equipped. It needs an oven, proper crockery, knives, containers and proper cooking utensils. It did not even have the basics and we had to buy our own knives, mixing bowls, bottle opener etc fromt he shop - which is not on. This is very simple to rectify. Our toilet overflowed and flooded the inside of the house, as did the drain outside which flooded the braai area. The maintenance guys said the plumbing is old and often gives problems. The units could do with television - people will not use it if they don't want to but it helps with small kids and keeps them quiet so that others in the camp don't have to deal with their boredom. The linen, position of the unit, basic service and shop/restaurant/pool facilities were spot on.

greg buckley

I believe the ablusion facilities can be modernised. Pls view Mapumalanga's International Airport's restrooms (next to the Wimpy). It would also be nice if each stand's parameters can be marked clearly. Some people park a car, caravan, tent, canopy, etc, etc - and take up two sites.

Mev Scheepers

We had an incredible time at Berg en Dal. We were very fortunate to see the whole big 5. Very little antelope! Did a night drive which I can recommend, but take an external flash for your camera.

Ross Cluver

Great facilities and layout.

Colin Oliver

I wish I could spend more time in the reserve away from the "hell" of city life."I'll be back"

Kees van Horick

We had a great few days in the Kruger Park. The location of the Berg-en-Dal rest camp is really convenient when travelling from Johannesburg and we saw 90% of the animals within about 20km from the camp. The chalet is a bit older (not luxurious), but was well equipped, neat and very comfortable. The one porch light was not working, but after phoning reception the handyman was at our chalet within minutes to fix it!

Ilandi Gordon

Beautiful rest camp, nice place to see the big five, zebras and giraffes. In fact, we saw a lion family on the road and a leopard beside the car! It was amazing...

We loved Berg-en-dal! Our bungalow was great! It was our first night in Kruger and we saw a lot of animals on the way. I only wish it were a little more centrally located and we would have stayed there longer!Found the staff to be friendly and helpful.

Pam Carlson

I had a good trip and stayed at the various Camping Sites. The roads both Tar and Dirt are in very poor condition from all my previous visits as thus able to make this comment, if in normal cars be aware of this especially on the Dirt Roads, I eventually stayed off them and missed a lot of viewing. The camps are getting run down, but the people are good and very helpful. I was disappointed that the camp Sites are not controlled and others take up more space that they are allocated or just used up two Sites and people were forced to miss out, others were obviously taking up two Power Points for Electricity and I had to miss out despite asking them to unplug one Lead, rude and uncaring but them Kruger should police this aspect. There is a lot of noise in the Camps despite being asked to tone it down, Radios - Generator and boozing into the nights. Another Camping Only site had a couple with visitors and the loud attitude was not appreciated, we are there for the wild life and experience the wild night life, not some afrikaans couple shouting screaming their heads off and not caring when several others asked them quiet down.Over all a good trip despite the poor road attitude in blocking bother sides of the road when they see something of interest and others either cannot get a look in or pass them, another real difficulty.would I go again YES YES YES, but be aware and make some plans.

Graham Patterson

Always good but recently notice litter along the Park main roads - and speeding vehicle( contractors and staff transport ) - evidence is the skid marks on the tar from braking due to animal crossing - alarming.

Had a wonderful time as always. The camp is very comfortable and clean will always recommend it.

Lynne Blake

We had a awesome time. I would just recommend that the ablutions be upgraded or at least a good clean of the lapa inside. Otherwise we all enjoyed our stay. Thank you!!

Leigh-Ann Klinck

Best stay i ever had in the Kruger. Was there for 5 nights but felt more like 2. Had the time of our lives

Francois Steenkamp

A great stay. Ablutions always clean. Boiling water on tap a great value add! Only negative was that their systems were down so we battled to get registered.

Our chalet was not properly stocked, with crockery and cutlery missing which the reception knew about. House keeping did not wash all dishes on 2 days and left unpacked which was not as previous visits. Our morning game drive booking was done incorrectly which caused stress at 4h45 in the morning which was not a great start. However as always, the bush is certainly a treat and we will definitely be back soon.

The camp is beautiful - but that all goes to spoil when you have monkeys break into your tent 3 times (and we know not to feed any of the animals) - it ruined our stay at Berg-en-Dal and asked to be transferred to Satara.

Jenny Locker

ThanX for great arrangements. I would appreciate it if I can be updated with special offers available through the year in the Kruger Park and especially at Berg-en-Dal camp.

Corne Haasbroek

We were surprised by the interior of these bungalows which are very, very basic. Tiles are used for kitchen tops(counter) and some broken. One of the bungalows fridge was not working. We reported it. Will not use these bungalows again.

Jan Booysen

2 Nights at Berg & Dal - Enjoyable2 nights at Balule - Total disaster - Reception personel at Olifants Camp ignorant and incompetent. No information offered re road closures to Balule. No signage to the effect. Result was we drove additional 150 km's with damage to caravan. Also no information offered re road closures when checking in at Satara.2 nights at Skukuza - Enjoyable.Overall experience. Kruger has gone backwards since 4 years ago. Speed limits seem to apply to tourists only and not Park officials.Game drivers rude and offensive and they drive like tow truck drivers. Not value for money any more when driving 2000 km's to get there from Hermanus.

All I can say is that our Kruger National Park trip was fantastic. I have read some negative reports, but everything was perfect. Our Cottage was very clean, the food in the restaurant was good and we couldn't ask for better. Our Sunset-drive was also nice. Thank you all for making our holiday so perfect!

Annalise Gaberthuel

We had a wonderful time, arrangements were good , our agent Eugene Denis was v helpful , only thing we would like to see is some sort of Halal meat or poultry made available at the camp stores. Coming from a Muslim background , this would be a big plus for our community. Would love to visit SA again, specially Kruger!

Asmat Hassan

Very nice lodge and well equipped for hte kitchen.Would like to go back again.

philippe lecomte

Thank you for the clean and well kept facilities!

rita venter

Very well organised. Shop at camp well stocked. Had Barack under the stars in the rain but did not dampen our enthusiasm. Great start to 3 brilliant nights in Kruger.

Martyn Wharrie

Excellent , spacious accommodation, looking out over camp perimeter - including a passing elephant! Good braai facilities - on bungalow terrace and well-lit.

Henry Hogger

Sometimes you get a holiday where nothing goes wrong. This was one of the them. From the booking stage up to getting home!!!!

Nico Theron

We loved our three days in Berg-en-Dal. The accommodation was lovely and peaceful with daily visits by a dwarf mongoose and her little one, loads of birdlife from our patio and a beautiful dam in which we saw hippo, waterbuck, crocodile, bushbuck, much bridlife and many water birds. The area abounds with rhino and elephant and we even saw leopard and lion but the birdlife was particularly exciting and we marked off many species on our birdlist - my son is now a hooked twitcher! The night drive is really worth doing - just remember to take along warm clothes. On the downside, the lack of a microwave in the kitchen; and the restaurant facilities at Skukuza were disappointingly bad. It's time that a franchise operation took over and ran the place in a more professional manner. Overall, a lovely camp in a lovely location and well-run.

Tina James

Cottage was clean and neat. Staff are well informed, courteous and helpful. Guides on walk are well informed and ensure that people understand what is required of them to minimise risk. Walk in bush a definite highlight.

JMW le Roux

We had an amazing weekend and Berg-en-dal camp was lovely. We went on 3 game drives with Claire and it was amazing she made it so worth while. Would recommend the early and sunrise safari to all.

Sharon Field

Lovely camp. Spacious, clean chalets. Tranquil setting. Will definitely be back for another visit.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were excellent. I do unfortunately think that the price you pay for what you get is a bit over the top. Our fridge didn't work and we weren't the only ones. I believe there is a lot of maintenance that should be done in the camp. They should also consider discounts for people who have a Wild Card.

Wonderful camp site, clean. Accommodation was first class. Reception staff is friendly and helpful

Desmond Bothe

ThanX for great arrangements. I would appreciate it if I can be updated with special offers available through the year in the Kruger Park and especially at Berg-en-Dal camp.

Corne Haasbroek

A lovely camp. We loved it and a highlight was seeing a pack of about 30 wild dogs on our way out of the park on our last day! thank you to all the staff of Kruger. An awesome experience.

Accommodation was a bit basic, bathrooms were tiny but all was clean.

Jacqui McCabe

Thanks for a very nice stay. We will be back. Thanks again.

The stay at Kruger Park was as per normal most enjoyable. The bungalow was ideal and the Berg-En-Dal camp was perfect, the shop was well stocked and our every need was catered for.As far as the Park was concerned we saw most of everything, the Cheetah's and Wild Dog once again eluded us, the good news is that we have to return to try and sight them. The major concern was that some members of the public disregard the park closing times and then have to speed to make it before closing which in many cases was dangerous, on one occasion an Impala was almost collided with, I reported the matter to the Satara camp manager. We will be back, I have already booked our bungalow for December 2012.

A Bekker

We were a multinational party of seven people from the USA, the UK and SA. Visiting the KNP is, as always, an exceptional experience, the weather, except for one violent evening storm whilst on a night drive, was good, the accommodation was adequate and the Park was teeming with game in the south. The experience was marred only by being refused permission to go on a bush walk, due to our age. We are in our 60's. Despite being allowed before (about two years ago - when I was over 60).We all regarded this as age discrimination, the bush walks are gentle strolls through flat terrain at a leisurely pace. We are all healthy, and frequent and experienced walkers through far rougher terrain and more difficult conditions. The receptionist did make mention of possible doctor's certificate certifying that we are fit, which obviously (although one of our party is a doctor), it was too late to do at that stage, although may have been possible had we known of this before we arrived.I think some further thought on the matter of a global age exclusion would be sensible.

Judith Kalk

Excellent Service all round and a great experience as always

W. Brough

Very enjoyable stay in the park thank you.

Caroline Weber

The cottage is very dark, there were no drying cloth in the kitchen, outside patio is lovely although the outside table and chairs could do with a bit of paint. There was very few game.

Wil Hanssen

Service delivery was great

Fred Nathras

As there was only myself and my partner staying at the camp I was very impressed with the amount of space for each site. I was also impressed by how clean and well kept the bathroom were. The bbq pit was a nice touch esp. as the shop sold charcoal - overall a nice camping experience.

Donna Cummings

A very enjoyable trip. conservation levy was excessive. Whilst the waiting staff at restaurant tried to please their efforts good not make up for a second rate establishment that at best appeared ill organised. However a better standard of catering would have ensured a good trip was exceptional

The service at the restaurant was slow. At breakfast not even butter was available.

Paul Nienaber

Generally, a thoroughly enjoyable trip, helped by courteous, welcoming staff. The bush is thick due to the rains, but very attractive. The only negative was the feeling that the Game Drive Vehicle drivers from outside the Park are now getting out of hand. They obviously communicate among each other and tear off to any Big 5 sighting, breaking the speed limit, dominating the sighting as if the normal visitors are irrelevant. It is time SANParks introduced a system whereby the public are invited to report these cowboys

pete wright

It was clean and we had a lot of space

Compared to Skukuza this was a shining example of how a well maintained camp should be run. No wonder they have won best camp several times.

Dawn Clark

Staff very friendly and welcoming. Size and facilities inside of bungalow exceeded expectations after coming from Skukuza. Will stay again if I ever visit Kruger. Disappointed though at the fact that I had to conservation fee again after already paying at Skukuza. Was of the belief that it was a one off payment upon entering Kruger.

Catherine Muianga

We really enjoyed our camping trip at Berg-en-Dal. The pool was a great escape from the heat. The ablution blocks were clean and tidy and the overall experience very positive. We will definitely be back.

Louis Potgieter

Hello. We had a great stay at Berg en Dal. The only problem is your Restaurants. They are useless and the service is poor. We had our Wedding anniversary on Sunday (17/2/2013) and they could not cater for that. We had to go to Malelane.

Petrus Steenkamp

Accommodation was comfortable but the size of the bathroom and shower was very small for my very tall husband and daughters! Very grateful to have air conditioning in the bedrooms!

Andrea Coetzee

The camp is kept neat and tidy and the shop is well stocked. The chalets are well equipped and serviced on a daily basis, which adds value to the holiday experience. I would certainly recommend this camp and would not hesitate to revisit in the future.

Terry Watson

My family and I experienced the Kruger for the first time ever and enjoyed a stunning game drive where we saw the big 5!What a way to introduce my kids to the Big 5!!

Tannon Herbst

The trip down to the Kruger was very very nice. The service we received was excellent and everything was in order upon arrival. We saw plenty of animals and would recommend Berg en Dal camp to all our friend and family. The only downside was that there were no ATM's available and those that were there did not have any cash.

Rossi Bonafede

Michael Bradbury

Kruger National Park is fantastic for the amount of game, the roads, the excellent game drives on offer. We saw so many elephant, and I know that has its problems, but they are beautiful. There are two negatives. The food on offer is poor quality and the same menu on offer in the whole region is ridiculous. The other negative is the very off-hand manner in which visitors are received at the entry gates, when paying the exorbitant conservation fee. The reception staff, in particular the females, really need to work on their service skills. Most of the staff in the shops and restaurants were helpful and the guides on the game drives were wonderful. The park has amazing potential to boost the economy through overseas tourists. Please don't let poor attitudes and over-commercialization spoil the experience.

I was pleasantly surprised by the reception staff's friendlyness and willingsness to help,. I did made use of the restaurant that evening, and even though the food was of high quality, they did not have everyting on menu available, simple things like chicken breasts and the service was very slow. Overall a good experience with room for improvement

Jaco de Lange

Restaurant service poor. Could improve on customer service.

Leonie Sippel

Our Trip to the Kruger Park was amazing. On the Sunset Drive we where lucky to see a Elephant with a baby who was 2 or 3 Days old The Loge Berg en Dal is very nice. Finaly we saw all of the Big Five

Thomas Kraeuliger

The camp needs a revamp and whilst we asked for a perimeter bungalow, we did not get. The staff are not friendly and the overall experience was a let down compared to Lower Sabie.

Christianne Demblon

Bellissimo soggiorno e campo ben attrezzato.

Giovanni Sartori

We visit the Kruger every year and are never disappointed, we were there after the floods and many of the roads were closed, we still managed to see plenty. Thank you

Michelle Bodley

Everything perfect, nice view. Restaurant good.

The weather was very disappointing, as there had been days of rain prior to my one day visit. Only tarmacked roads were accessible and the evening and morning safaris were cancelled. That said, I did see rhinos, hippos, and antelope, and enjoyed my trip very much.

David Nuttall

First two nights we had bungalow no 29. Upgrades done on no 1 to 30.Very nice!

Kobus Swart

Shop closed early. Aircon faulty.

Vera Taylor

Non upgraded bungalow. Aircon not working and Bungalow not clean. Stayed in no 59. Checked out day earlier. Will go to private camps in future.

Kobus Swart

VERY pleasant, clean & quiet.

Kodri Smuts

We paid for a sunset game drive and experienced hostility and aggressive attitude from the game driver. We were 6 adults over 60 years, and 2 visitors from Australia (of which my son was one)with me on the truck. The driver was hostile, unpleasant and very bosy and made our experience negative. We were instructed to NOT talk and sit down at all times and only use our cell phones to contact each other. That was absurd. The first siting was a leopard walking alongside the truck for 300 meters. Some of us were on the other side of the truck and could NOT stand or move to the side where the leopard was seen. The dirver personaaly reprimanded me like a child and told me to sit down and keep quiet or he will leave the siting. He spoke to the rest of the visitors on thr truck in the same manner. People ended up staying in their seats and missed the sitting if it was not on oyur side of the truck. It was not possible to take photos - the event was missed. The next animal was a lioness and we were qgiven the same orders and treatment. We were treated like children on a bus trip with the coach. His negative and aggressive attitude made our experience not only unpleasnat but not worth the money we paid for the drive. The Austrailians expressed it as neagtive, unpleasant customer service and care and will not refer otners to visit the Park based on their first expereince.I told the driver that we needed to be given better service for our money and time spend.Personllay I will not take visitors from outside south africa to the Park again, because Raymond said this is how things are done at all the Camp site(this is bad advertisement for the kruger National Park). The comment the visitors made was 'never again'.It must be emphasised that customer care and service is priority and staff who interact with clients must be skilled and competent interms of customer relations, communication and interaction to enable profesisonal service to be provided

Priscilla Domingo

I have been to the Kruger many times, and this trip must have been the most amazing. Game viewing was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and the camp was very peaceful day and night.

George Gallon

I must say, Berg-en-Dal impressed me a lot. The shop and restaurant was neat and the staff friendly.

Chalets were clean and there was everything in the chalet.

Pat Rutherfoord

Campsite was very neat and will definitely re-visit them again. One of the best camp sites

Johan Bothma

We were booked in at Skukuza but after staying in Berg en Dal the previous week , we were so impressed with the camp that we asked our travel agent Tanya Lomas (what a gem) to change our booking to Berg en Dal. She immediately changed it and we had a ball. Saw every animal we were hoping to see on our early morning drives. We saw leopards lying in the street, one had a baby and was walking along the roadside. We saw a hyena mama lying in the road with 4 babies playing around her. That was so fantastic!.2 female lions was walking on the s114 .Every morning 2 male lions were lying near the road as if they were waiting for the visitors to come and say hello. I cannot wait for our next visit.I you want to enjoy your stay without any worries please phone Tanya , she is the best and will help you with all your travel arrangements.

Angeline Van Der Merwe

Third time at Berg-en-Dal. Camp is very well run like all the camps but the bungalows could do with a revamp. Extremely dark and a little dingy with all the brick and unsatisfactory lighting. The courtyards at the cottages are nice too but could do with a cover for the dining for rain/hot sun. Service a bit slow/indifferent in the restaurant. Overall though a well run camp. Check-in staff EXTREMELY efficient.

Enjoyed the camp

Paul Nelson

very exiting to have stayed at berg en dal restcamp and we encountered a troup of lions in the evening after we came back late.

George Khumalo

Loved the camp and the Hipo walkway. room was nice and cozy. One of the best camps in the Kruger

stella van der westhuizen

I had requested a unit in 20's section and was told they were full. After walking through the camp there didn't seem to be anybody staying in those units. The air-con didn't work properly, the cooking area had hardly any supplies with the stove not working and no micro-wave. How do you expect people to do self-catering with no supplies.

Neale Cary-Smith

There is a marked improvement in friendliness throughout the Kruger NP. Camping at Berg-en-Dal was really fantastic and most enjoyable. The ablutions were clean but in serious need of maintenance regarding the structures etc. The camp in general was untidy (grass and lawns not cut/mowed and swimming pool filthy(green water and pool side covered in thick black algae.Monkies cause a loy of damage in the camping site and even baboons enter the camp - dangerous.Pretorius Kop and Lower Sabie was clean and neat(grass mowed/cut and clean pool at PK.

L H Hartley

A great and exciting stay at Berg-en-dal. Just a drive out of our campsite and there were the elephants, leopard, lions, wild dogs and rhino. Exceptional views off all the animals on the roadside. Definitely will be back, service facilities and service rendered from the time of entry till departing was excellent and above par. Well done and keep up the good work.

Omsha Badul

I am never disappointed by my trips to Kruger. This time I had an international visitor with me and he was very impressed.I have never stayed at Berg 'n Dal before and was very impressed with the accommodation. Unfortunately we did not have much luck with the weather and our sunset drive was rather a wet one,but none the less it was a great experience.Thank you

Lee Roering

Enjoyed our stay!!! The park is alway in an excellent condition. Except for the ICE problem, we were only allowed 2 packets of ice per day in December and it was 30 digrees

Geraldine Heskes

We preferred the camp of Gerg en Dal, quietly and we have seen more animals, but we didn't appreciate to pay fees so expensive and for every day we passed in Kruger Park

Excellent low cost laundry facilities. Enjoyed our last few days in the Park at this camp.Saw 12 Rhino all together as we were leaving Berg en Dal. Had 49 sightings of Rhino during our 16 day stay in the park.

Shirley Dunkley

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The "Bug Lady" was wonderful and full of interesting information and help. We were lucky to see the Big 5 as well as Black Rhino and Wild Dogs! The only let down was the restaurant food which was far below the quality expected!

Marie Pretorius

What a fantastic venue to have Christmas dinner with friends and family looking forward to doing it again.

Mike Hunter

Our overall stay was good... Very hot and dry for this time of the year. Did have a little rain at Satara on the 31-12-2011.

Esme van der Watt

I was very impressed with this rest camp. Hoping to come back soon. Keep up the good work.

Andreas Mathebula

Staff service good. Chalets well equipped.

Jeanne Gerber

Got up early and saw some great animals.

Dewald Niemandt

Taps in the bungalow kept on not closing properly and one had to make sure that the handle on the cistern of the toilet was pulled back up or else the water would run constantly.Have contacted you with regards to stay at Lower Sabie and Berg-en-Dal in Dec 2012.Thanks

We enjoyed our stay in B&D - good facilities - very clean. Our trip was spoiled by a noisy group on the evening of the 24th of Dec. Otherwise very nice. Be careful where you camp - when it rains some of the camping spots turn into mud-baths. Thanks

Dirk Pretorius

The 2 bed, 6 sleeper wasn't what we expected and had to book another chalet for two people to give them a better bed to sleep in. The camp is beautiful and helpful staff. The access to cash via the ATM was not sufficient.

Neil Henzen

We had an excellent time! Thank you

We stayed at Berg-en-dal from the 21/12/2011-26/12/2011. The camp was very busy so we had to look for the last available stand. No shade! It's best then to check in early as most checks out early. The Facilities were okay. It is just that our fellow campers don't feel the need to clean the shower and toilets after use. Wonder how their houses look! I prefer staying at the Sattelite camps in future as you are more in contact with the wildlife as in the main camps. But thank you to Kruger for giving us another wonderful bush experience.

Antonie De Bruin

Bookings and book in was good with no problems.

Johan Boshoff

Berg-En -Dal rest camp was a pleasant surprise, very nice bungalow set out well, clean and private.Service in camp very good, good amenities, preferred camp to Skukusa and Satara, will definitely return.

Mike Ness

We travelled with grandparents and my own kids.So it was a diverse group. We were impressed by the friendliness and knowledge of the staff and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was well maintained and a great design, ideal for little kids and adults alike, most enticing after a hot drive in the Park. And the wildlife and landscapes were diverse and rich. We were most impressed and will certainly visit again. Well done to the Kruger team! Most amazing of all was seeing a 'herd' of 12 white rhino very near to the camp. Perhaps they are learning, safety in numbers and ganging up on poachers!

andrew botelle

We had a great stay. Game drive in the morning was good. shop good. facilities very good.

wendy volkel

Staff at Pretoriuskop very unfriendly will not visit there again. Have been going to Kruger for years, and hopefully for plenty to come. Thanks for the rest of the staff.

Gerhard Knox

Only one problem we had, was at Pretoriuskop staff very unfriendly. Other than that we had a great time

Gerhard Knox

Exceeded expectations in almost every way. Bungalow was clean, comfortable and well stocked.

Devon Baker

The morning walk out of Bergendal was exceptional. Our rangers went above and beyond and provided an unforgettable experience. (Our two rangers at Bergendal, Willie and Masotcha deserve to be recognized especially)

Devon Baker

The trip down to the Kruger was very very nice. The service we received was excellent and everything was in order upon arrival. We saw plenty of animals and would recommend Berg en Dal camp to all our friend and family. The only downside was that there were no ATM's available and those that were there did not have any cash.

Rossi Bonafede

Staying inside the kruger was a great experience. The camp was clean and nice and it was very easy going to the safari beeing alredy inside the park.

Deise Tisljarec

My family enjoyed the stay and the kids enjoyed the swimming pool. The house was neat and clean.

Camp is very clean and very well maintained. Personnel very professional.Cottage totally exceeded our expectations. Will again book in the future in this camp.

Pieter Odendaal

Spacious well equipped bungalow. All the stuff for self- catering.Great fence walk with info on trees, a good long walk with game on the other side of the fence.Lovely big pool.Everything very well maintained.

We had a three day trip to Mpumalanga, the highlight being the one and a half days in the park, I was unable to get accommodation at Lower Sabie so I was given accommodation at the Berg en dal camp. It was super, the pool was clean the accommodation clean the surrounding grounds lovely, birdlife great, and so convenient to the gates, when you are on a short stay (folk from the UK are always pushed for time) Lovely Lovely time had by us all, am coming back again in March, another short stay!!! looking so forward to it Thanks to all.

Vicki Palmer

The Kruger Park was absolutely fantastic. The staff however at the front desk of Berg en dal were really not welcoming. When we had made enquiries at the desk staff sitting at a back desk answered our questions but never once made an effort to get off their seats to come to the front desk and help us. We felt that they never made us welcome they were just doing what they had to do without a smile on their faces. However everything was clean and tidy

Colleen Wright

I saw enough in one night will return on my next trip rooms spacious and all cooking utensils were in the unit NOT LIKE Skukuza

Good day! This is my second visit to the Kruger in 8 months.I really enjoy going there. We recently stayed at Berg & Dal and the accommodation was very good.last time we stayed at Olifants and the accomodation was TERRIBLE! All the sheets were dirty and we ended up sleeping on our own inflatable matress.both times the food was terrible. olifants was worse than Berg & Dal.The service at the restaurant at Olifants was bad, but Berg & Dal better, but still not great!I think the food products is very expensive aswell. The dirt roads were also in a bad condition. Ive got a 4x4 and had to travel very slow at some areas. I do feel sorry for all the people driving in a sadan.regardsjohann Vorster In all it was a great trip, you just need to sort out the restaurants and service!

Lovely camp. Spacious, clean chalets. Tranquil setting. Will definitely be back for another visit.

Nicely appointed accommodation however cleanliness not up to scratch; unemptied bathroom bin upon arrival; bathroom basin had toothpaste from previous occupants; staff only "tidied" beds, no other evidence of activity- ledges and windows were filthy- dust and mosquitoes; pillowcases found in a place where they must have disappeared from your inventory...please view our comments as positive and work with the staff to accomplish only good comments. Kind regards, John and Sonja.

JD Robottom

It was a wonderful time. We have a perfect ranger (Lawrence Weitz) who show us many animals, plants and a famous landscape. It was more than perfect. We like it.We have to say: Thank you Lawrence for the beautiful day. Marion, Petra, Annette, Rebecca and Rosina

Rosina Machau

We had a wonderful experience during our stay in the park, the facilities at the Berg n Dal rest camp were up to our expectations and wildlife was such an awesome experience. Will determinately coming back.

Mikateko Mahatlani

I will return to this camp again, I think its quite expensive for a local South African to visit their own park. I had no problems with anybody and had lots of privacy. We saw a lot of game and I can and will recommend Berg and Dal to my friends and family. P.S awesome bird life!

James Price

Self catering equipment poor. One coffee cup. No frying pan. Microwave would be useful! We were prepared so for us not serious.Swimming pool water DISGUSTING!!But we love the place.

PJ Ryan

It was great a usual! Many thanks.

AW Gerrits

Great surrounding scenery. The dawn drive is well worth it. Nicely set up camp - clean, comfortable. The swimming pool is great.

Donna Wright

Always enjoy the park. Berg-en Dal campsite always a pleasure to visit. One of the best camps in the park.

Michele Snyman

The overall experience was wonderful, but the accommodation was substandard. The kitchen was very poorly equipped, with not even an egg spatula, which we had to buy from the camp shop.

Magdie Hartman

We loved the entire experience. Loved the cottage. Even loved chasing the monekys out of the cottage and out of our car. Little devils.

Jan Margosian

We loved the entire experience. Loved the cottage. Even loved chasing the monkeys out of the cottage and out of our car. Little devils.

Jan Margosian

See many sightings and amenities very good.

This was much better than Biyamiti. Organised, clean and comfortable camp. Lovely chalets and well stocked shop. One more comment the service at Afsaal is terrible - slow and poor quality food. This could be a tourist goldmine for the Park.

Anne Studdert

We had a fantastic time in the Kruger. Everything was amazing except for the food at the camp's restaurant (many items were not available on the menu and quality was below average) and the 'smelly' and not so fresh towels in our bungalow. Room for improvement on that level.

Ludivine Haupt

Always very nice to stay at Berg-en-Dal!

Frieda Visagie

Staff real helpful, welcoming and friendly and the camp was great. All was perfect

Old Gaol Tours

Staff real helpful, welcoming and friendly and the camp was great. All was perfect

Old Gaol Tours

Everything very good except the quality of the Bungalow 69 in Berg en Dal. Only one teaspoon, no bed covers, maintenance very bad. Service at restaurant bad but other service was OK though.

The trip was fantastic. Saw the big five (lion at a kill) and two cheetahs BUT ate at the restaurant at Berg-en-Dal on the Friday night. Service DISGUSTING, Food TERRIBLE, Value for money TOTAL RIPOFF. Given wrong bill. It was so bad you had to experience it to believe otherwise you would think I was exaggerating. I was ashamed of being a South African.

Graham Sulter

One concern that there is signs in the bathrooms asking to use water sparingly as its a precious resource but during our 2 night stay the cleaning staff used the hoses to wash down the surrounding area and patio and also left it running unnecessarily. I also noticed that the fire hydrants were being used for general water use.No dustbins in sight around the look out points in front on the restaurant and shop, lots of cigarette stubs laying around.

SR Steyn

Everything fine. Ablusions below average. No towels supplied over four days. Monkeys becoming a nuisance. Tored tents.

S.A. Venter

More info could be given re the position of cottages, some are nrer the perimeter others not, the staff helping with the bookings could offer more info regarding your choices.

Most excellent value for money at our overnight camp. This is true of all the smaller camps, I must say however that the staff at Skukuza still give the impression that they are doing you a big favour by serving you! Very apathetic attitude.

Morning. Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to give feedback. I suggest that customers are clearly informed about conservation fees when they book their stay at KNP. At other resorts the fee paid for the camping spot is the only fee, and therefore the conservation fee was unplanned money out of our pockets. Otherwise our stay was very pleasant except for the drunk drivers near the swimming pool for daily visitors who sped past us and almost hit the Kudus we were looking at. They also through a beer bottle out of their car and hooted for a woman who was taking a photo of a crocodile on a narrow bridge. They were clearly only at KNP to make use of the swimming pool and not to view the beautiful nature scenes.

Annerie Smit

The self catering kitchen needs the basic utensils such as a can opener, cloths to wipe and clean dishes / surfaces and ice tray. Other than that we had a wonderful experience. The blankest are old and look flea ridden.

Andrew Nunes

Had a very lovely stay. Camp was great.

Had a very lovely stay. Camp was great.

Our Kruger experience was very enjoyable. The staff at Berg-en-Dal were friendly and helpful. The bench beds in the 6 sleeper would be fine for small children but are very uncomfortable for adults.

Julia Cantwell

Cottage was not at all clean. Very disappointing.

Helen Steyn

We had 3 nights in self catering accommodation. The bungalow was clean and tidy but we had a few blown light bulbs that were not replaced during our stay, despite being reported. The game around was exceptional we counted 48 rhino mostly close to the car! We would highly recommend Berg en Dal.

Fiona Bonthrone

Accommodation again fine but over all the maintenance on the gardens seems to be left behind.

Martin Fraser

It is always the highlight of our monthly break away to visit the Kruger Park.Brilliant service at Berg-en-Dal. Thank you, for arranging the accommodation for us otherwise we would have missed out on a wonderful experience.Kind regardsRobert and Annetjie Reid

Annetjie Reid

Excellent as always, can't wait for my next visit.

Dons de Lange

I asked for an extra bed on my booking, when I arrived they new nothing about it and we got a mattress to use, several items of cutlery and plates were missing, the unit was never cleaned properly and it seem as if, if something is broken let's not fix it. I feel the Kruger park rest camps are going down hill fast.

Dave Minton

I have not been to the southern part of the park for about 20 years and was extremely disappointed about the deterioration of the restaurants.Food on menu not available/neatness of waiters/hygiene/condition of menus (burnt). To comments from other people(waitress - I don't no what is going on, everything is going down!(Berg en Dal). 2nd comment by a black South African man to a black American lady who complained about the flies in the green salad!(Skukusa). Welcome to Africa ma'am. We are busy destroying one of our best assets and chasing the tourists away. The tidiness/neatness of the gardens as I can remember has also deteriorated. Shame on Parks board. What is your plan of action. I need to agree with the waitress - everything is going down. Please save this wonderful asset.

Gert Fourie

Could give the persons that stay in the bungalow more assistance during the power failure, eg gas braai, and candles etc. But overall the stay was good.

FJ Smith

We arrived at 18:00 at the Malelane Gate. It was raining and when we arrived at Berg-en-Dal, there was no electricity. Our stay was not enjoyable and at 09:00 in the morning we had to leave.

Bodibe Oupa

Staying inside the kruger was a great experience. The camp was clean and nice and it was very easy going to the safari beeing alredy inside the park.

Deise Tisljarec

My family and I experienced the Kruger for the first time ever and enjoyed a stunning game drive where we saw the big 5!What a way to introduce my kids to the Big 5!!

Tannon Herbst

Thank you, I have been meaning to write since our return. Our trip this year was a huge disappointment in fact it was a disgrace. There was no electricity for the entire duration of our stay which was a Friday to a Monday, which meant we had no stove to cook on, no hot water to shower with and obviously absolutely no light. My food went off and I had to throw away so much meat, milk and salad things. The manager did not send us a note apologising or explaining the situation, not even a candle or a match was to be found in the camp. The staff were also absolutely unapologetic, lethargic and unfortunately slack. I really hope something is going to be done and my mail is going to be taken seriously. We also subsequently heard that the generator was broken. Regards

I had a very good trip in kruger - enjoyed it very much and planning to go there very soon again. Staff were very helpful and it is proudly South African keep up the good work

Jos Bester

The accommodation in this camp is top notch and the best by far - it had everything we needed cutlery, crockery and a beautiful view. On arrival I checked in and sat down at the restaurant for lunch by the end of the meal we could not pay as the electricity was out - we had to return later to pay, I do not like carrying cash on me as I have been mugged numerous times - with the power being out this meant I could only pay my conservation fees the next day and on arrival at our bungalow there was no electricity. The staff could not indicate how long the outage could last and they closed the shop during outages. The power continued to go on and off throughout the day and partly through the night. One thing I can say is the staff were very helpful in making everyone comfortable and are very friendly. This part of the park is very dry so it is quite a challenge to find animals but when you do finally see them it i s definitely worth it - we saw most of the bigger animals down this side of the park.

Gayenor Milne

The highlight was the lions that we saw. The bungalow was in a very good condition. The night drive was disappointing. It was raining and could not see much.

C Lombard

Nice rest camp. Stayed there before and liked it again. Excellent game in immediate area this month/ year - elephant, white and black rhino, lions.

Paul Martin

Our first trip at camping was most enjoyable.

Michael Strydom

The booking system is excellent and is 50 million miles ahead of the former useless system that Kruger used to use. The overall Kruger Park experience was most positive for myself and my overseas guest, from the initial booking process, to the friendly & helpful gate guards at Malalane gate, to the check-in and restaurant and service staff at the bungalow at Berg en Dal, to the staff serving our final meal at Skukuza.

Dr Craig Voortman

Pleasantly surprised after hearing that Kruger standards had dropped - bungalow clean and well equipped. No yin opener or rather tin opener broken - linen felt a bit worn but generally a good experience. Efficient and friendly staff.

S van Vuren

We enjoyed our stay, however the crockery in the bungalow were not washed from the previous guests.

Deidre Smith

Berg-en-Dal was great! I had an overseas visitor with me who was most impressed with the camp. However, the food in the restaurant was terrible and we just opted to go without eating for two days. I very much doubt he will recommend the Kruger to any of his friends now because of the restaurant food. What a shame!

Michele Pfab

Berg-en-Dal was really comfortable and we especially enjoyed the chalet's privacy. Game viewing was really good!

Joy Brownrigg

Our stay in the Kruger Park was exceptional as always.

Taryn Zietsman

We had a very enjoyable week. I have been visiting the KNP since 1949- Skukuza had only about 10 rondavels- a tiny shop and 100's of round Bell tents! Game was plentiful. We had to go to Satara to see Elephants. Now they are ruining the park. Please don't listen to the "bleeding hearts". Do culling wisely or we are facing a ecological disaster. At berg and Dal the devastation is shocking! Good luck and we will always be FRIENDS OF THE KNP.

SJ Boshoff

My stay was wonderful and all was taken care of properly.

The bungalow at Berg en Dal was nice, but there are no bowls for a salad so we had to use a plate. Also one of the wine glasses was cracked. There's also no notice showing how the stove top works so it took us a while to figure out that there's a switch UNDERNEATH! But otherwise clean and neat. Thank you.

Mrs B Holloway

Excellent service from my booking till I left Kruger at Malelane gate. I took my three grand daughters with and what a pleasure with the facilities at Berg en Dal. I want to reserve family unit in advance for next year 1 October to the 6 October. Congratulations on the "nice" and excellent professional staff of Kruger.

Dawie van Schalkwyk

We would not go back to Berg en Dal. The accommodation was cramped and we had one booking -three families together but they did not give us units together - we were spread all over the camp which is big!! We were sharing food and cooking duties so this made our 4 nights problematic! My husband also fell by accident coming out of the restaurant and whilst staff did get ice they were less than interested. He has since had to have surgery to the foot.

Lauren Frost

This campsite was an absolute pleasure campsites clearly demarcated campsites visited by staff to check if all in order polite and helpful staff and althogu less concetraiton of game worth driving further as far very relaxed camping amosphere

Karen Reeders

Game viewing proved to be a highlight this time round. Saw big five within 2 days and then in last 2 hours of an afternoon drive saw all five again!Service at reception very slow. Very little customer relations - social talking on phone whilst dealing with clients.Family cottage very comfortable but will request one closer to perimeter fence next time round(if available). Many thanks for your assistance.

J. Douthwaite

Nice, although the park is dry in the area.

C J Wepener

Thank you for your swift response on our booking. The camp was very well set out. The only problem we had was firstly not been told of the plug needed to use a electrical extension cord and what else we would need to pay for our stay in the park. RegardsDerek Smit

Poorly equipped in terms of utensils. Will not make good impression on tourists.

Arend Venter

Great camp.

Robin Slater-Jones

We really enjoyed our stay at the Berg-en-Dal park. I want to recommend that they can put more bins for waste in the caravan park.

JL Griessel

The unit was very neat and tidy, the only things that was not up to standard was the kitchen equipment- the toaster was falling apart, and pots rusted in the inside. But we made the best of it and enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

Sonja Jansen van Rensburg

We stayed at three different camps, namely Berg-en-Dal, Satara and Mopani. At all three camps the staff was very friendly and courteous. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Saw plenty of game, except leopard and wild dog. Can't wait to return!

Malcolm Bury

Utensils in the kitchen were lacking. The only sharp-ish knife was the bread knife!House-keeping staff were great!

Val Prigge

Game drive produced excellent views of a lion kill and we managed to see the big 5 two days in a row - wonderful experience.

Deon Tolmay

We had the most amazing time, except please inform first timers that the camping ground is very hard, you need a drill. Campsite price is very good, but if you have to buy food it is completely over priced. Would like to go again.

Mrs Nel

Great camp.

Rod Williams

Wow, it was great to be back in the Kruger - I have not come for years. It was an exceptional experience again. I love the wide wild spaces, warm weather, friendly people (both staff and fellow guests), and the facilities were great. It helped that we were very lucky with our sightings, and that my two small kids were in awe of the place.Coming back soon, only thing I will change is that I am going to stay a lot longer. Thanks to all at the Kruger for a wonderful job of looking after our South African treasure! You do us all proud.

Martin Lydall

Nice large cabin with large patio & braai area, bad experiences with inattentive reception & cafe staff.

Dr Wiebke Ebeling

The only drawback was the unfriendliness of the staff, especially at Lower Sabie. Otherwise Excellent. The guide on the Sunset drive at Crocodile bridge were very knowledgeable.

Much better camp than Skukuza.

A very pleasant stay.

Willem Heusdens

We had a lovely time in Kruger Park and had some amazing sightings. We were all very impressed with it all. Thanks

Samantha Lee

Most of the staff were very amenable and helpful. It was just a shame when we arrived at our accommodation that two staff members were lounging around in the braai area, one sleeping, and it took them a while to move so we could get into our accommodation.

Helen Dickerson

We had a fantastic weekend in the Kruger National Park, the camp site at Berg-en-Dal was far better then we expected, the toilet and shower facilities were clean and of a very high standard. We will definitely return very soon!

Michelle de Jager

Great camp site. Friendly staff at check in. Struggled to get camping spot and electrical point. Clean ablution blocks. Wonderful experience.

Christoff Opperman

First, this is a great idea. Wanted to compliment some people but did not know where. I thought that the bungalows were good value for money at the price. The staff at Berg-en-Dal were average.

It was a great experience and we enjoyed every minute.Accommodation was very good and both the camps are applaudable.Thank you

Christa Haasbroek

It was lovely.

The bathroom wasn't all that clean. Bathroom light was not working properly. What about a small microwave oven in the kitchen, nothing fancy just small enough to heat food. Was shocked to see how people speed on the roads. Enforcement especially at 4 pm when officials head home. Dirt roads needs some maintenance.

Frans Rosslee

We had a superb chalet on the fence, so saw buck etc just from the verandah. Staff extremely friendly at check-in and the whole booking and registration system worked fantastically. It was a pleasure to have a Wild Card too. Birdlife was amazing, and all in all were were so impressed. Had not been to KNP for a number of years, and were very impressed with the comprehensive shops that are now in place.

Margaret Wynne

We arrived late due to some vehicle problems, but we were well accommodated for , arrangements to be escorted was well planned, short waiting period. Thank You.The accommodation was clean and well maintained,The only thing that was not available was a microwave, which i think is necessary to have, maybe you should consider it.Thank You.

It was much drier than further up the park and more difficult to find the game, but we still got to see plenty, even leopard! Only complaint would be the beds :(

Saw no animals but it was very interesting. We enjoyed our stay very much.

shirley buytendag

Service levels fine. Camping accommodation fine. BUT ?Dirty bathrooms at Berg en dal camping. Showers not scrubbed. Please don't be blind. A world class park with this?! Unacceptable the plastic rubbish along the Rhino trail on other side of fence. Unacceptable! Where is the camp manager?!

Deon Roets

Didn't see a lot of animals. Otherwise, I congratulate you for your effort by keeping the camps clean. Keep up the good work.

Overall experience was really good. Please look at your camp bathroom facilities. We had international guests with us and they did comment on the bathrooms, it's due for an upgrade.

Riana Munnik

Guest House was excellent, dinner buffet in the Restaurant was good, the morning drive was below average (very very cold and too early, only two rhinos seen!) Lunch at Lower Sabie restaurant was terrible and took too long. I took 4 European visitors and they love the experience! Well done!

Fernanda Cabanas

Overall the experience was great! Viewing and game drives were exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodation however should be improved a little. The kitchen area was not quite up to standard.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience Thank you

Paul Pretorius

We have just spent 4 wonderful days in the Kruger. When visiting any National Park one always wants to see as much as possible. We were truly blessed during these 4 days. We not only saw a variety of animals but in quantities as well. The majority of our sightings were on the main road (tarred road) between Berg-en-Dal and Skukuza. This included lions, hyena, a Southern Ground Hornbill and a pair of Secretary birds. Perhaps we were fortunate that the grass was not very high.It just goes to show that it is not always necessary to travel on the gravel roads and a visitor does not need a 4 by 4 to seen animals.

Gaby Horstmann

It was very nice. We once again have seen the Big Five. The facilities was always clean and it was a pleasure to camp.As far as we go we always tell our family and friends. We always want to come back to the Kruger National Park. Thanks for your hospitality Gert van Deventer (RGA)

G van Deventer

The facilities were good and well maintained. Restaurant food is very good BUT THE SERVICE IS ATROCIOUS, TO SAY THE LEAST. I do not know what foreigners think of the service in the Kruger Park. But I am ashamed!

Pine Pienaar

In Berg en Dal I did a Bush Braai that I really enjoyed.

Federico Longo

Really had a great time in camp loved the dam and rhino walk, found the curio shop very expensive as I once lived in South Africa.

The trip was awesome!

We had a wonderful time at Skukuza and Berg-en-dal. Both places were perfect for our staying at Krugers Park. In addition I would like to remark that the people in there was extremely kindly and we were very comfortable with them. Thank you for giving us a great holidays! We will recommend the place to everyone.Best regards

The drains at the showers were blocked for the duration of our stay at Berg-en-Dal caravan site. One evening only cold showers available.
