I love Storm's River Mouth more every time I visit. The site is spectacular, the accommodation great and the staff friendly and helpful. What more could one want.

Lesley Richardson

We have had two wonderful nights with our sonsin the family cottage in front of the ocean.

wiebke knoerzer-Naser

The baboons overturn dustbins. If u drive a wooden spike in the grond and tie the dustbin to the spike, it should help

johann nicol smit

Brilliant and Beautiful

Juan Batt

Our chalet never got much Sun and was chilly most day. 13A it was the Bush needs cutting back so Sun can get there. Very nice two days.

ALISON SHEARD

Wonderful setting and ambiance

Yvonne

Hi, on behalf of my son in law and daughter, they thoroughly enjoyed their stay at the accomodation, in future they would book longer as their stay was too short.

Yusuf

Awesome place and wll equipped chalets

yvonne

Nice and clean campsite , pity there are no trees in the campsites Bathrooms could have been a little cleaner

Charles

What an amazing venue. Despite rain every day it was still a wonderful place to be.

Gavin Kwon Hoo

We enjoyed this so much that we went back the following week. Stayed in a honeymoon chalet and one of the Oceanettes. This is one of the jewels of the wonderful Cape coastline and the Gorge is incredibly beautiful. Two great guides, Fabian and Tate, took us on the canoeing trip which is easy and fun. The restaurant is very good. I recommend the chartreuse - had it twice! Great service too. The only drawback is the unnecessarily laborious process of checking-in and out. Loved the beach too!

Fiona David

Our stay was entirely satisfactory. The chalet was comfortable and well equipped, the scenery was lovely, the shop was well stocked and we had a relaxed and enjoyable visit

Adrienne Murray

We had a fantastic time in your very neat and well maintained Park. Can't fault you on anything, we will be back.

Lazinda McLeod

Enjoyed our stay. Everything was neat and well kept. We did not however have an inventory in our chalet and we did not have glass bowls to use in the micro. Other than that No problems .

Lynn Gouws

We had a lovely time. Everything was clean and well kept. there was no inventory in our Chalet and We had no glass bowls to use in the micro oven. But other than that we were very impressed with everything. Thank you

Ferdie Viljoen

Chalets well kept and neat.

JOHANNES JOUBERT

The forest huts at Storms river mouth are very comfortable and cosy, everything that we needed was available to us. It is excellent value for money and just the most incredible setting!

TRACY RUSSELL

The loose standing cottage with full ocean view is on the beach with a convenient stoep and private braai area that we used every day. Lovely and clean, good quality bedding, and daily friendly staff that clean the place. The kitchen has everything you need. The only possible improvement I can suggest is a new mattress is needed.

Louise van Wyk

We thought that our cottage was wonderful and the setting by the ocean just spectacular. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. The restaurant in the Park was excellent and again a stunning location. Our only complaint would be the laborious administration getting into the Park gates and checking in. It was VERY slow and unnecessarily so. Quite expensive, but we didn't mind as exchange rate so good and money going to a good cause.

Anne Eglington

Excellent As refers to quality and price level.

Jurgen Gleue

The chalet was clean and comfortable, the view was absolutely stunning. The restaurant is good, but if you want to have a braai take your own meat, the supplies at the shop are limited.

carol albrecht

We enjoyed our stay with you, a bit pricey for what we got. The hiking trails are in average shape, disappointed to see trash stashed, empty water bottles and even an empty champagne bottle with glasses behind a bench.

Tammy van Zyl

Thank you for a great stay, pity about the rain but really welcomed.

Richard Cave

We had a great time, clean accommodation, friendly service, couldn't asked for better. Only 1 problem... our stay was too short!!! Next time we will stay for much longer! Thanks a lot.

Beautiful place.Good Service.Very tidy.

WESSEL SMUTS

All apartments were located excellent so that you have perfect view of the sea. The rooms and facilities were outstanding. Only negative thing is that you park far from the chalets at the oceanfronts apartments.

Ockie Mienie

Our accommodation was outstanding. Everything we needed and more. We only stayed 2 nights and did not want to leave.

laura parker

One night is not enough. You must stay for at least 2 nights to get a chance to do everything. A really nice get away. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great place to be! The view, the see and especially the waves!

We had a fantastic stay at Storms River Mouth Rest Camp, the campsite is very well equipped and in a beautiful location. The bathrooms are clean, in good working condition with hot water, and the scullery and laundry area have everything a camper needs, including communal chest freezer. The park has a wide variety of beautiful hikes and stunning bird life, including the rare African Black Oyster Catcher, a must for bird lovers. Thank you to SANParks and keep up the good work, we will certainly return!

Excellent stay, in spite of inclement weather. Magnificent sunsets and waves. Accommodation first class, our Chalet 21 was the best one for views of the ocean. We plan to revisit Storms River in the near future and will definitely be asking for no. 21 again!

CHRIS PIENAAR

After our first experience of Tsitsikamma, many years ago, we were pleasantly surprised to find the place still to be: - Very neat and clean - Exceptionally well managed - no sign of matters deteriorating as generally as so many other similar resorts in our country - professional and friendly service at reception - well mannered and trained cleaning staff Overall therefore a resort that we can be proud of and to be promoted to everybody.

Jan Coetzer

The accommodation was clean and well serviced, the views superb and the shop was well stocked to cater for those that had forgotten to pack anything. The Restaurant was efficient and the food good. In general the facilities and the campsite were extremely well managed and tidy. A great stop on the Garden Route and well worth at least a two night stay.

WILLEM SWANEPOEL

Ons het heerlik gebly. Al die fasilitieite was baie netjies en skoon en die park is in 'n uitstekende toestand. Hou so aan! Vriendelike personeel.

Dorothy van Hoorn

PLEASANT STAY, NICE VIEW

JOHAN SCHULTZ

Our stay was very nice. Facilities clean.

Bennie

Was a lovely stay. Except for the early morning visitors ie baboons. We suggest some bars for the windows and more signs in the chalets to warn people not to leave food lying around.

Madelein

We loved everything you had to offer! Well done! Something that can make a massive difference to the accommodation is Lots of hooks to hang handbags, towels, clothing etc. we had a plumbing problem which caused us to try and stop the leakage with a bathroom mat. Thx

ARISTA

People will tell you how beautiful Storms River Mouth is, but until you experience it for yourself you will never truly comprehend the beauty of this magnificent place. If your soul needs cleansing, your mind needs to be cleared and your body needs to rest then this is the ideal place for you. We will definitely be back.

Belinda Stuart

We had a most enjoyable stay at the Storms River Mouth Restcamp. As we only booked late, we could unfortunately only secure 1 night's accommodation - we will be sure to book earlier this year!!

We stayed at Storms River Mouth Restcamp from 24th October until 26th October. We were so impressed with the place. The scenery is superb and we had a view from our chalet, the camp and trails are beautifully maintained and the shop has all the basic needs. The chalets were very comfortable. This camp is an example to all other camps. Jen

Maree Watkins

We spent 6 nights at Storms River Mouth in a 'Honeymoon' chalet . The chalet was very well equipped - good cutlery, crockery , glasses , new fridge , lovely furniture, good mattress!, with a DSTV bouquet included! The chalet was immaculately clean. Staff well trained and very honest . Very safe environment within the reserve . Special short hiking trails. A very special holiday in beautiful surroundings!!!

Mariette Christiane

The 2 bedroom family cottage down by the sea was Absolutely Wonderful: extremely well-equipped, perfectly clean & the setting could not have been more spectacular! We'd highly recommend it...

Lisa Crause

It was a wonderful and relaxing experience. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Gerald Erasmus

We loved staying close to the ocean and the extreme beauty . Proudly South African

Natasha Govender

My wife and I spent one night here and decided to do this for a longer period. o close to the sea and forest with much to do and so little time. Really beatiful and service great. The Oceanettes are on the quiet side of Stormsriver and one can easily rest your soul here. Well done again Sanparks and staff. Keep up the good work. Bill and Ia Skinner (Worcester)

Bill Skinner

Views & beach stunning. Service in restaurant and food quality maybe not quite up to standard. Accommodation perfectly adequate.

alison burke

Nicole Kleynhans-Boogaers

would loved to stay for a week! absolutely fabulous!

l van rooyen

Big and comfortable Oceanette with a stunning view close to the sea. Super hiking trails, but only when the weather is fine. When it is rainy most of them are slippery.

Robert Boldrino

Good day, we stayed in a family cottage which was fantastic. The cottage facilities were outstanding; they are beautifully kept, very clean bathrooms and friendly, helpful cleaning ladies. We were however very disappointed that on arrival, no receipt was given for the cash paid at the main gate for the conservation fees. Even with above, the National Park is an amazing getaway which will definitely see us again. Regards, Donne'

Donne Schwartz

We had a super stay, staff was very friendly, oceanette was clean and hiking trails superb. Thanks.

Prof BA Muller

This was one of the most amazing places we stayed at. The atmosphere was fantastic - layed back and friendly; the views out of this world. The cabins were well stocked and comfortable with plenty of hot water for a shower. I would definitely come back here again.

Fiona Salema

Friendly staff, clean ablutions, the bush hut was clean and tidy with fresh linens.Saw small buck - possibly duiker?Views... EXCEPTIONAL!

Antionette Gouws

This is a great place and should be on everyones list. Grat walks.

David Ross Woods

This is a great place and should be on everyones list. Grat walks.

Uitstekend! Baie dankie vir puik, vriendelike diens!! Sal defnitief die woord versprei.

Ruan Cronje

Dit was ongelooflik! Ons het oorgeslaap in Stormsrivier Mond en dit is net ongelooflik! Ek dink dit is seker die mooiste plek op aarde! Ongelooflik!

MONIQUE BRESLER

Although the weather wasnt the greatest the 2 days spent at Storms River were magical and a true appreciation of Gods creations.

Candice Lombard

My stay was super, ablutions neat and tidy and resort also very neat and tidy will definetely come again!

Irene Ferreira

clean and comfortable. Beds where wonderfull to sleep on so importants to wake up feeling goods.will go again and happy to try other resorts.

Amanda Greig

We really enjoyed our stay and found the oceanettes to be beautifully situated - lovely and quiet and with an amazing view. The only disappointing thing was if you sat on the chairs provided on the balcony if one is short like me you couldn't see over the wall to enjoy the view. The one thing they could also consider having in the kitchen and which we missed was a kitchen scissors.

Carol-anne Brent

Visiting Storms river mouth is like entering an enchanted world. It truely is breathtakingly beautiful. It is impossible not to unwind and relax while staying there.

Mrs Lee-Ann Wampach

Deur 'n sirkulasie pomp in die badkamers te instaleer sal daar duisende liters water per jaar gespaar word. Tans moet jy lank wag as die warm water oopgedraai word voordat die water warm is. Tegnologie is beskikbaar.

Japie du Plessis

The setting is spectacular - my guests from abroad were absolutely stunned! The two-sleeper single bedroom chalets (CH3) were basic but perfectly adequate for a good night’s rest. They were well maintained, had all the crockery and cutlery we needed to braai for dinner and were close to the shop/restaurant where we got good but slow internet. The park was well signposted from the road – easy to find, and all staff we encountered were polite and accommodating. The booking process through www.safari.com was smooth with well-spoken and friendly assistance. All round, a great stay.

Robert Dalgleish

We enjoyed the stay, bathroom was a bit far

COLETTE BOTHA

This is our second time we have stayed in the Park for a number of days but we have often visited as day visitors when passing through the area.Like all Park accommodation there is a certain feeling of bureaucracy about the process of booking in getting keys signing forms and so on.The accommodation is of a reasonable standard and the pricing on par with commercial offerings in the area.To be on site though is a privilege and makes up for any minor irritations.

Michael Gull

The staff was very friendly, the camp grounds and bathrooms were very clean. We over all had a great stay, and will definitely come back.

mariette adams

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay, the walk to the suspension bridge was hectic but very beautiful, and we had good meals and wonderful service at the restaurant. Thank you.

Marion Flanegan

A beautiful setting - chalets clean and well furnished. We were missing an outside chair, a knife and the top of our indoor bin was lying on the floor. We would like to suggest that some sort of guide is given as to how far you have walked when hiking to the Waterfall - we never got to it because we were afraid we would run out of time (we started the trail at 14.30 and by 16.00 we did not know how far we still had to go, so we turned back !)We will be back - it is such a stunning place.

Ron Dekker

Often we drove past Storms River Month, this time we decided to stay there for a few days. It was magnificent, beautiful, peaceful, and most relaxing. The restcamp ( cottages ) where extremely comfortable, very clean, and wished we had booked for a few more days. we will definitely come again but this time for a longer period, I do recommend you to give storms River restcamp a try. Its well worth it !!!

Robert Stodel

enjoyed it will come back

kobus fritz

Gate was locked after 2 days could not park . Every morning at 8:15 we were up because of loud speaking next to room , had to close sliding door because of smoking from lecture room . But we will go back just hope we can get a room we can sleep in a bit later. Thank you

Carol Strydom

The time spent at Storms river mouth rest camp, was over all too soon. The campsites are SO good and well maintained, the ablution always clean, the shop well equipped with necessities and restaurant - well, that fish and chips are just LEKKER! We will surely visit there again, and the sore muscles were worth the visit to the expansion bridge. Thank you once again.

Elsa Odendal

Cleaning staff very helpful. There was a mix re accommodation -my wife is in wheelchair and had to be carried up in chair to chalet because of stairs.Staff at reception not helpful.

DONALD BODLEY

We love the people of South Africa so much.Even after many visits to several national parks, we look forward to the next time. We appreciate the efforts of your organization to preserve the nature.Remarks? Yes:1. After 10 years of service the oceanettes need a refreshment.2. It is unfair that I'm paying for the annual wild card over 3000 zar. Compared to a SA-citizen is this discrimination. Don't forget the importance of tourism to the economy and the prestige of the country.I would appreciate your reaction.

Pieters Staf

We stayed in a Forest Hut. It was clean and comfy. Amazing pool. Such a gem - we were not expecting to find such a beautiful well run spot. Facilities all immaculate and good walks and nice food at the restaurant. Very good value for money. Keep doors shut tho cos baboons did make a morning reccie and got into one hut near us and stole some food.

Susy Forbes

We stay at Storms river every year and it has been a bliss every time. The accommodation was clean and neat and the personnel are always helpful and friendly. We will be back again.

Steven Buys

The curtains are very untidy and needs replacement. The carpet needs cleaning...large stains.Interior setting in living area very uncomfortableDiningroom chairs wobbly.Tiles in shower musty.Bedding.. clean and fresh...appreciated.Nature ....breathtaking!

We stayed for two nights in a cottage on the beach and enjoyed every second. We regretted we did not stay longer. The accommodation is of very good value, but the Park is charging a fee we consider rather high. And they could offer a bit more information on short trips. Not everyone has the time to walk 5 days the Otter trail.

Theo Peeters

was very nice

Andries Viviers

We had a brilliant stay apart from the signing in process at the main gate where the lady (forgot to take her name) was so unfriendly and wanted to charge us R 970.00 conservation fee. "oh are you not foreigners". I gave her my SA Id book. The baboons in the hut very scary but great laugh afterwards. We will definitely be going back. Tx again!!

Vincent Bougard

VERY enjoyable, great facilities, Spotlessly clean, obviously a well managed resort, friendly people, and will definitely go there again.

David Redelinghuys

As always the forest hut was clean and in perfect condition. Unfortunately we only discovered the fridge in the communal kitchen upon leaving and the shop did not have ice. But: this camp is a gem and the staff friendly and helpful. Loved our early morning swim off the tiny beach...

Annamarie Knoblauch

Storms River is an outstanding natural area. The shoreline with the sea crashing on the rocks etc is breathtaking. The accommodation is 'tired' and needs refreshing. The restaurant menu was enticing with options of excellent seafood meals. However the quality was poor, overcooked and flavourless - sent mine back!

Dawn Berry

Very positive experience overall.

CARLA VAN WYK

The ablution does not keep up with the quantity of campers during peak season. 3Xtoilets per ablution?

JJ Cloete

Had a excellent stay at Stormsriver. Caravan park so clean and also ablution blocks.

Christiaan Jacobs

The overall experience was most enjoyable and the facilities are well maintained and comfortable.A possible improvement is at the gate reception on arrival. We had a long wait as there were others waiting to check in and only one person behind the desk with a student who needed help continuously.Otherwise a great location of which we in SA can be proud.

Christopher David McMinn

HI DAAR ALLES WAS WONDERLIK , DAGBESOEKERS WAS SOMS TEVEEL EN DIE STORTE HET SOMS NIE WARM WATER GEHAD NIE . DIE WASNASJIENE WAS N GROOT PROBLEEM , WINKEL EN RANGERS HET NIE R 5 MUNTE GEHAD NIE . VERDER WAS DIT GREAT . THANKS .

GUY BAKER

It was a very late decision and afterwards my wife and I realised how fortunate we were to get the site at such short notice during such a busy time. The beauty of Stormsrivier and it's well serviced facilities outshine all other caravan sites we have been to so far. Also very impressed with the effectiveness of your internet booking service.

Lieb Swiegers

Good day. This was the first time again in 12 years that we went for camping at Storms River. I think because of the peak period it was a bit expensive but still its good value for money. You will be seeing me and my family next year again. Well done!!

Pieter Swanepoel

We really enjoyed our stay and think the Oceanettes are perfect for a stay at Storm's River. The view is exceptional and we liked that my son, wife and grandson were able to spend the day with us even though they were staying in the Village. I feel that it would have been good if you had 4 of everything instead of three for that reason.

Jane Foote

We enjoyed as usual a wonderful stay at Storms River Camp. The flat was clean with all the basic necessities. The staff was overall very friendly and helpful. But nature beats it all!!

Susan Erusmas

It was a lovely experience staying in the Tsitsikamma National Park.We will certainly come again.

SC Erasmus

We had a lovely time. We were very fortunate in that we were housed in one of the BEST houses with a lovely view and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We moved to Storms river Mouth camp from Natures Valley where we have a house and we all agreed that the 3 nights in Storms river were the cherry-on-the-cake experience!!!My sister who lives in Vancouver, Canada will be coming to SA for a holiday at the end of the year and I have already urged them to also book in the camp! We just don

Helene Louw

The accommodation was comfortable and clean and the place is breathtaking. Thankyou

Janine Tuck

The accommodation was comfortable and clean and the place is breathtaking. Thankyou

Janine Tuck

This is a well run, well maintained, clean site. Even the restaurant is above average for this type of place. This was our third visit (in many years)and the standards have improved over the years.

Jan Schoeman

We had an amazing time. The Chalet was spotless and very well equipped. The elephants were wonderful!!!!Thank you!

Louisa Bernard

The most beautiful place I have seen in a long time. The accommodation was clean and great value for money. The camp is very clean and the scenery was beautiful. The restaurant's food was very good and the prices were very reasonable. At least they catered for the SA citizens and not only for the foreign visitors as most of the holiday resorts do.

Fox

In the past my wife and I have either stayed in the caravan section or the cottages but on this visit the only available fixed accommodation was the Forest Huts. We found them to be very well equipped, comfortable, good value and catered for all our needs. In the future we will definitely consider using this facility.

Colin Boyes

Overall the experience was fantastic. We found the facilities and friendliness of the staff stunning - especially in the convenience store! They deserve praise and recognition! One area that could be addressed is the staff responsible for the servicing of the unit - whilst we did not leave them dishes we felt that they did very little towards cleaning of the bathroom and the unit in general. Otherwise everything was great and we would definitely recommend this to our friends and family! THANK YOU

Delanie Morris

It is one of the most beautiful places we have seen and we enjoyed every minute there. Would definitely visit again.

DENESE DE JONG

Enjoyed the stay very much. Everything clean and neat. The staff very friendly. It is a pity we cannot use our own canoe going up the river.

Retha Marais

we love Storms River and this was our second visit to the campsite. But this time we were given Campsite number 58 - which is probably the worst site with no view except construction vehicles likes tractors in front of our caravan door! But there were many other sites available which apparently people were gonna move onto but remained vacant throughout our stay at Storms. So next time I will not except the site unless I see where it is first! We saw an Otter during our stay in DEC. Please add Otter to your list on the right. Thanks. Vernon

Vernon Naidoo

It has been a wish of a lifetime to visit and stay - thanks for the experience.

Anne Taylor

Our first visit to Storms River Mouth Rest Camp.Positives:Chalets were clean and neat,Lovely views of the ocean,Enjoyed boat cruise and sight seeing.Negatives:Overlooked the caravans, campers, not the best spot,Baboons a huge problem, entered neigbour's chalet and trashed the place twice, kept coming back to try and enter our chalets, baboons managed to force open closed windows. We had to keep everything closed at all times and be on alert, not ideal.

JM Pretorius

Our one night stay was much too short, unfortunately we had to move on to our next destination as we were doing the garden route, we love the campsite and the whole area, would have loved to do move exploring, but that will have to wait for another time. The facilities were fantastic and clean, as a regular camper, that is that mate your stay good or bad. Thank you for your good service.Regards

Theuns Nel

We had a very lovely time and would recommend this area to everyone we meet. Everything was neat, tidy & clean. Thanks

Cedric Knottenbelt

Japie du Plessis

Love the place, but one really disappointing point is that I booked for 6 people, 3 couples, and wanted our accommodation as close together as possible. My husband and I were very far removed from our friends and had to drive by car to see them every day.

The oceanette was lovely, clean and very well equipped and beautifully located. The views were stunning and, from the patio, we saw dolphins, whales and seals swimming. Saw Dassies on our walk and loved the stroll to the suspension bridges. Only regret was that due to long delays on the journey to Storms River we did not get to enjoy it for longer. Two comments for your consideration. We booked for two people - there were three beds in the oceanette which made it rather cramped for space. The conservation fee for international visitors (3 or 4 times that for SA nationals)is rather steep on top of the cost of the accommodation especially when applied for each day of stay. This is even more so as we did not arrive until 7pm on Friday night and had to check out by 10am on Sunday but still had to pay for two days.

Most beautiful campsite and surroundings.

Charlotte Malan

Our booking was fine, but when we arrived at 18:15 at the gate, your reservation office was already closed, although you website states the time of closing as 18:30 from November onwards. When we arrived at our oceanette, there was no sleeper couch, so the night duty manager had to be called. Fortunately there was an empty two-bedroom family house available which he very kindly allocated to us. The next morning we went to the office to pay our fees, but the person on duty forgot to give us yellow passes and we did not know that we had to have them, so that we had quite a lot of trouble getting into the camp after having left the camp during the day. The staff were friendly and the house was clean. Thanks

Hannarie Wenhold

The exquisite scenery and the very comfortable family chalet made this repeat family stay a highlight. Even the rainy weather was beautiful. The boat ride up the river was great value and so enjoyable.

Although we were only there for one night, it was everything we could have wanted and we will definitely be back for a longer stay

Scenery of sea, mountains and lodges, spectacular, exceptionally well maintained. The gate welcome was outstanding. One night stay is not sufficient to see everything.

Cor Beekhuizen

We stayed overnight in one of the chalets with a great view of the sea and the dassies. A bushbuck came to visit - it stood right outside the kitchen window. I forgot to tell them that the bungalow we stayed in had water coming through the carpet in the living room. I really recommend the camp. It's close by other attractions such as the Suspension Bridge. Unfortunately some are on the other side of the toll station - such as the Waterfall Zipline Adventure.

Rethea Deetlefs

Bathroom dirty - fungus growing on cistern, no soap provided.Next time I would rather try a chalet

Karin Frehse

Thank you! I was most impressed by the beautifully maintained park and the incredible scenery. The chalet was impeccably clean and new. The restaurant food was delicious. We would love to go back!

Carla Bam

Magnificent setting and a great place to visit. Some small issues are that the quality of the dish washing soap is poor and one struggles to wash dishes properly. Also, over the weekend it seems that visitors with little interest in nature visit the park and prefer to be noisy and intoxicated rather than considerate of others.

Danie Jordaan

Another great holiday at SRM! Cabins are comfortable and clean, park is beautiful, staff are professional. An all round pleasant experience

Bradley Dale

We slept at Stormsriver before we started with the Otter hike, and enjoyed staying in the comfortable forest huts and having a lovely meal at the Stormsriver restaurant. Your facilities are really good and we will visit Stormsriver again soon.

Surena du Plessis

The storms river cottages are lovely, we were on the beach with fantastic sea views down the coast. Lovely walks in the forest, we had a very relaxing time.

We stayed here for 2 nights in a tent. The view here is breath taking! There are different possibilities to do a dayhike. Don't stop after you crossed the bridge but make to effort to climb up for a stunning panoramic view. The second day, the battery of our car went down. The Campmanager immdediatly did all the necessary things to help us out! Thank you so much again for your wonderful service!

Although we (four adults) stayed only one night, we really enjoyed the experience. The gentleman at the reception was very friendly, well informed and helpful. Our cottage was neat and well equipped and the beds were quite comfortable. The terrain was clean and well maintained. I wish we could have stayed longer than just the one night.

Fantastic location and walks in surrounding areas. Accommodation was good standard for self catering. Restaurant was OK, but would suggest that you have a barbecue instead for a more memorable experience. Keep a look out for the baboons and take heed of the warning notices about keeping food out of sight

hi we enjoyed our stay at Stormsriver mouth. We had mega fun although it was wet. What remains with me is the fact that all the personel was extremely friendly. That is a feather in their hat!!!! The park is fairly priced and the restuarant offers value for money. Everything else outside the park is overpriced. It is definetily not meant for the average South African.

Storms River Mouth is perhaps our most favourite holiday venue in RSA. We have on a number of occasions stayed in the caravan park but this was the first time in the chalets. Our experience was great. Overall it is rather expensive which possibly precludes many potential visitors but then the occupancy rate is probably so high that this is not of concern. It is great to see that two additional swing bridges have been constructed which adds great value to the walk to the mouth and decreases conjestion. Our accomodation was very comfortable and ideally situate on the rocks. The carpets and chairs had some stains on them but this was easily overlooked in favour of the position, views and overall enjoyment of our visit. Many thanks. Colin Boyes

Well-equipped cottage in a spectacular setting. Walking, birdlife and the sea. Great.

Mr J Campbell

The Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve is very beautiful and the infrastructure very good. Bad was the reception when we checked in, unfriendly with a twich of arrogance. Not helpful when we ask some basic question. Accommodation was acceptable but the bathroom with a plastic curtain not up to standard. The restaurant was extremely bad with bad service and unacceptable quality of food. prices are outrageous. Storm's River Fish platter R 370.00! Sole R 110, not fresh, ate only a small piece. Wherever you go in South Africa service and friendliness are top class. Why can't the same standard be achieved in Parks Board facilities.

Gunter Muller

We had a nice experience, the park staff was very friendly and helpful. We saw about 20 dolphins swimming in front of the oceanette. I was surprised that nowhere any notifications were visible about recycling. So I wonder if the National Parks is considering a policy regarding recycling.

Ine de Vries

The Storms River Mouth facilities are tastefully done with considerable comfort and very careful planning. They happily lack the glitz and brashness of much South African accommodation. The linen, pillows and mattresses were of the highest order. The kitchen equipment simple but correct and the unexpected private shower/basin/WC were most functional with plenty of hot water. The wooden structures blend well with the surroundings and had great warmth and charm. Even the curtains were of high quality - simple, well made, lined and in the right style. The site is of course awe-inspiring. The price was generous.

Rupert Speyer

Great experience - would love to go back. Would like a bigger sign on the road. Almost missed it.

Dominique Hall

The park is beautiful and wonderfully peaceful and the facilities are clean and very well maintained. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely try to make this a yearly trip.

Natalie

It would be nice if you could cater for larger families eg: 5. We had to have two units and there could have been a sleeper couch added to one unit and we would have all been perfectly comfortable in that.

Sara Hughes

We had a wonderful time, albeit very short. The hospitality, service, location, chalet, restaurant were great. Well done.We visit Kruger regularly and there is NO comparison, Storms River is way ahead in every aspect!!!!We hope to visit again soon for a longer period.Keep up the good work.Ken Graham

Although we booked a self catering Forest Hut, we did not feel we got value for money. It was a lot to pay with very few facilities. (No fridge). We will not be using your facilities again in the future.

Liz Reed

Incredible view - great nature!

Heigert Wreidt

Very nice balcony with seaview! We saw lots of dolphins.

Hansmann

I was amazed at the quality of the accomodation at the 2 national parks we went to: Anysburg and Tsitsikamma. Settings great too.

Pauline Penny

Beautiful setting amongst the trees, tranquil and definitely worth going again for a long weekend of relaxation and walks.

Jenny Mirk

we went to Addo for s day trip- always great, though very windy. Then spent 3 nights camping at Storms River, very pleasant! Only complaint is that we always had large camper vans parked in front of us, so had very little view of the ocean! Maybe there could be some sort of arranging of tents and camper vans so that the bigger vehicles park at the back? Otherwise well worth a visit. Thank you

Leanne Miles

We planned this trip as part of our garden route tour and thoroughly enjoyed it.What made the rooms exceptional to us was the underfloor heating and the beautiful view of the ocean we had from our Oceanette. What made the park exceptional to us where again the beautiful scenery we had, the walking trails and just being close to nature. We will visit the Stormsrivier Mouth Rest Camp again and this time for a longer period as we want to do a couple of activities in the area which the weather did not allow.Overall I would say we were satisfied and enjoyed our stay.Regards,Sue

should have smoking and non smoking rooms. Otherwise everything was in order.

Staying at the this venue was absolutely brilliant. We throroughly enjoyed the stay and will definitely use this venue again and again.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised to see that our National Parks are moving forward. We have had previous experiences where places were a bit run down, but Tsitsikamma National Park is in great shape and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We're recommending it to everyone we speak to. Just one negative...We booked and paid in advance with the Cape Town office, and I assumed that when I paid in full for our accommodation that was it. I didn't read through all the stuff on the confirmation that was mailed to me. On arrival at Tsitsikamma we were told of the extra R120 we owe for our stay (conservation fees). I totally understand conservation fees, and did afterwards see that it states on the booking confirmation that there will be these fees. But I think it will be much better to tell us on the phone about these when we make bookings and give us the option to pay everything together, instead of almost "hiding" it in fine print on a booking confirmation. But this didn't ruin our experience, we enjoyed it very much, thank you!

Jan Fourie

We stayed two nights in one of the three honeymoon cottages and enjoyed it very much. The sea view is fantastic, the sunsets are gorgeous. The suspension bridge over storms river mouth was partially closed, but at the beginning of the walking trail (which was nice anyway:-) was no sign indicating this.

Good Afternoon. My review on trip to storms river mouth! It was beyond amazing. I have nothing bad to say about our stay! The people that were camping around us were friendly and very accommodating!I had booked a caravan site, but on minute 99, we did not take a caravan, and the people that helped us to move and find a grass tent site, where extremely helpful and understanding. I had left my very expensive jacket outside and the next morning, everything was where we had left it. So we left at ease and very safe. The bathrooms and camp site itself was very clean and beautiful. I have already recommended many people to go and stay there, because we all loved it so much! So well done and keep up the hard and good work that everyone is doing! And I know we will be seeing you all very soon!

Great location! wonderful to fall asleep listening to the sea. Such a shame that the walk up to the suspension bridge is paved in plastic. It smells overpoweringly of plastic when the sun shines on it & really spoils the walk.Otherwise great trip!

Loved staying in the Forest Hut, it was really awesome staying in a "forest" with the ocean just a couple of steps away. Saw lots of "Dassies".Would really have loved a Microwave in the hut though and possibly a small fridge? Maybe one or two of the small huts could be equipped and you could pay a premium for those with a small fridge and microwave? But otherwise it was really nice, definitely would want to return for a longer stay. I would like to request that the different paths be better marked with markers and that better maps be drawn up so you could see all the different places you could start walks, possibly introduce a paid service of a guide that maybe take people twice a day on certain walks to prevent people from getting lost or mugged. Introduce paths for "disabled" or older and the very young that is easy to walk and a nice distance (1 or 2 km). Many thanks for the fantastic clean main ablutions and communal kitchen area - it was really nice to find it so well kept. Thanks to the ladies servicing the huts, they are extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks also to your main gate reception - very friendly and helpful staff.

No complaints, nice area, toilets, ablution block well taken care of, friendly and helpful staff. Thanks to park manager "James" for lending me a lamp when mine broke on first night. Great time, will do it again!

We were delighted with the comfort of the oceanette and the stunning view of the ocean just meters from our patio. Book a ground floor one. We were in H. The only disappointing thing was the fact that we were not allowed to hike for just a few hours on the overnight trails, returning to our oceanette by evening. We were told you had to purchase a permit for these trails which were for overnighters only. The day walks were too short for us.

Eamonn Ward

The Oceanette was wonderful. We love it and we come back as soon as possible. Thank you very much.

No fault of yours, we arrived around 2 pm Friday, I got so sick with an acute infection that I spent the whole weekend in bed with extremely high fever and suffering. The place is beautiful and we have been regular visitors over the years. It was meant to be a romantic weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Was a complete disaster. Hope to come again.

Pastor Richard Mason

Firstly, the weather was perfect and the view from the conference room overlooking the sea was spectacular. The family cottages that we stayed had everything we needed. The service we received from the staff at the rest camp was outstanding, The best part of our conference was the boat ride (which not all ladies were very keen on doing, but with Owen steering , they were geared up to try it a second time) . It was fun and Owen was very friendly and was a great tour guide, as he explained about the caves and their history. We wont hesitate to use the venue again and the ladies, want to visit with their families there as well.

Excellent.Enjoyed the experience. Will do it again.Staff were friendly ,professional and helpfulKeep it up - proudly South African

The chalets are great, just need rack space in the bathroom for your toiletries and a mirror in the room to do hair/make up. The rest, fab!

Ria

We had a super time, celebrating our 21st anniversary. Setting is breathtaking, love the air and sounds. Will definitely be coming back.Just sad the suspension bridge was out of action. In terms of the oceanette F, the shower doors need fixing and the blinds in the kitchen window have a "hole".Thank you very much - see you again

We visited in winter ( August) and were able to enjoy this fabulous location with few other guests. From our chalet balcony we were priviledeged to be able to sit and watch Whales breaching off shore. We even risked the outdoor swimming pool,'only mad dogs and English women' comes to mind!wow that was cold. Only one critisism, one of the bedroom carpets was stained and smelly, otherwise the housekeeping was very good. Overall super.

mrs susan allen

Everything was ok inside the flat, however dishes were not washed when flat was cleaned. We enjoyed the surrounds,Storms is a very special place, however the weather did not play along. Yet the surrounds made up for everything, overall we had a splendid weekend.

We stayed in the park for 4 days in August, while my husband did a 3 day cycle race organised from Storms river town. The Oceanette was neat and fully equipped and having been a cold and rainy weekend, we were pleasantly surprised by the under floor heating. We saw lots of rock rabbits and buck and even a few monkeys. The best was of course the Whales. You should put them on your list of Big Five. There were a lot and quite near the rocks - maybe because the birth season is drawing near. Dolphins also liked riding the amazing waves.I loved doing some of the short walks, especially the one to the hang bridge. Gave the old legs a good workout. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Ansie Ibbotson

When i went through the options for bookings (Houses) they said they were fully booked. But on arrival there were places open for the dates i wanted. Its was not a no show problem, because i swapped my Oceanette for another one. So book for a place and on arrival ask what els is available...(If not pleased)

Gerhard Niemand

Although the lodge was definitely adequate, the surrounding area was wet and muddy and certainly made things uncomfortable. Likewise the food in the restaurant was good, but unfortunately the staff were neither friendly nor efficient. Lastly, construction commenced in front of our lodge on the Monday morning (the day before we were supposed to leave) and was so unpleasant and noisy that we decided to leave a day early. The natural beauty and scenery in the park is without equal, but unfortunately above problems soured what could have been a pleasant stay and will have to be addressed to ensure a better overall experience.

Stephan Brink

Amazing view from balcony. Very nice & cozy rooms. Can be added with an air-conditioner, but OK for the winter with just the heated floor. Nice kitchen & cozy bed. Saw some dolphins & whales from balcony!

Clean and well appointed. Pity the suspension bridge over the Storms River mouth was closed for repairs.

I travelled to Storms River with my adult children and we had the most amazing experience. The weather was wonderful, although after the heavy rains walking was a little difficult in places. To be surrounded by such beauty all the time is absolutely incredible, the meals in the restaurant were excellent and the boat trip and other experiences in the surrounding areas (bungy jumping and canopy tours) were something which will remain with us for many, many years. Thank you to all the staff who were at all time exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Our 2 bedroom Family Cottage was wonderful, clean and the view stunning!!! Thank for a wonderfull stay.

Lovely, peaceful time away in the Storms River Mouth Rest Camp. We stayed in Chalet No.1 and the only complaint I can make is that the bed was very, very small even though it was comfortable. Otherwise the place was amazing, the views spectacular. We were nice and close to the restaurant and shop and all of the staff were awesome.

Elana Wolmarans

We enjoyed our stay in an oceanette at Storms River. The staff was helpful and friendly. The boardwalk through the forest was great and the suspension bridges are in excellent condition - gathered that they were re-done in 2009.

joy rubenstein

This is my fourth stay at the camp - twice in the Oceanettes, once in a forest hut & recently in a S-D S/C Chalet - pleasurable experiences in all! The chalet setting was awesome, clean, relatively private & conveniently situated, close to the trails, shop & restaurant. The staff at the Shop & Restaurant were extremely helpful & polite. I shall definitely visit the camp again, possibly preferring a chalet with DSTV for those miserable weather moments! An unsurpassed relaxed environment!

Avril Beyleveld

We stayed in a forest hut. It was excellent, just what we needed. However I wouldn't really want to stay any longer than 1 or 2 nights as it is quite basic. The cabins would be better for a longer stay. There is loads to do in the park and the restaurant is good value. We really enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend it to people.

Natasha Phelan

As always the scenery was breathtaking. We were warmly welcomed. The hut itself was perfect. Just one small suggestion - only the bathroom window opened. Could front windows have top flaps that open?Thank you for a lovely stay.

Our stay, as usual, pleasurable and relaxing.Storms River will always be our stopover of choice.

We enjoyed 4 relaxing days in a forest hut. The explosions of water as large waves crashed on the rocks was enthralling. Making a fire and braaing every night was also most enjoyable. Another highlight was seeing an otter (marked as honey badger since otter is not on the list) returning home after a day of fishing from the sea. He was making his way up the stream right alongside our hut. I was actually busy watching a Nyala or Bush Buck browse, and looked to see what had suddenly frightened him - the otter! The facilities were clean and neat and cleaned daily. One comment - a curtain was missing as were some drawbacks for the curtains. Thanks!

Peter Waller

We only spent one night there. Wil definitely stay longer next time. Beautiful spot.

AW van der Sluys

Tsitsikama National Park (Storms River) is one of my favourite places to relax/recharge. I have visited for more than 20 years, and each time the experience is different: dolphins surfing translucent waves; flashes of phosphorescent waves lighting up a pitch dark night; wild waves crashing over rocks; baboons/dassies/deer on the front lawn, etc. etc. And always the hope that one will see the elusive loerie... One can never tire of nature in this marvellous get-away.

Elaine Hyland

We had a wonderful stay. We did the hiking trails and the 2 swing bridges over the ocean. Really scary!! We only (unfortunately) stayed for one night.

Annelie Potgieter

Hi there. Upon our arrival 10:00, we were greeted by a friendly receptionist, Lee-Marque. We confirmed our reservation number. Hoping that we could go to our cabin, we only found out that we could book into our cabin by 2pm, which wasn't told to me when making a booking. At 2pm we booked in, got our keys for our log cabin and proceeded to drive to our cabin. When we arrived at our cabin, we realized that housekeeping wasn't done yet. We had to wait another hour, before we could move in to our cabin. All in all, inspite of a "rocky" and disappointing start to our first day, we were very pleased to be in our log cabin and took in our lovely view and surroundings. We were suppose to stay there only for 2 nights, but because we love Tsitsikamma and quite frankly the log cabins are nicely kitted out with all the basic stuff that's needed, we decided to book an extra night's stay over. So in total we stayed 3 nights. We truly have a beautiful gem, the Storms River Tsitsikamma National Park. And I will definitely come again and again and again. I work hard for my income, to make an honest living as a music teacher and to come to a peaceful, tranqual place like Tsitsikamma's National Park, its like heaven. We were lucky to have seen some sort of buck, but I don't think its a water buck. You will see us again, hopefully soon. We originally booked an oceanette and realised that the sleeper couch was impossibly small for any adult especially our teenager son. Sadly the accommodation was very disappointing, the room did not smell fresh and the chair backs and head boards were grubby! Thankfully the staff at the reception were very pleasant and helpful especially Cindy. She managed by great perseverance to upgrade us to a log cabin which was really wonderful and saved what would have been an unpleasant experience. If safari.com want to attract international visitors then you must ensure that the standard is impeccably high. Why were we not offered the seasonal discount when we paid through safari.com?

Donald Macdonald

The Storms River area is really exceptional. We did a one night overnight on our way from Cape Town to Addo and had a fantastic time. It breaks the journey, the cabins are simple but nice and we had enough time to explore around the river mouth in the morning after breakfast.

Thanks as always all was really good and it is still the most beautiful coast in the world. Glad to see that the total number of bucks also increased since I was there last. Thanks again for helping me on such a sort notice and for looking after our heritage so well.Greeting Jeane Cronje

Lovely! Lovely! Lovely! Boat trip up gorge so peaceful! Ride on the sea - exhilarating! Gale force winds to rock cabin - a touch scary. Walks in the forest - like heaven. Scones at restaurant - like stones!! DRY!!

Dominique Byrne

Very neat and fully equipped accommodation. Personnel are friendly and helpful. Will visit again for sure.

Estranel Strydom

Storms has become... expensive... for locals trying to experience their own heritage.Yes, it has been upgraded to international standards to satisfy tourists... but it has become... expensive... for South Africans given that petrol costs an arm and a leg.We enjoyed it more when it was a more roughing-it/camping/back to nature/rugged experience... rather than a 4 star hotel... but there you are; good accommodation, well-equipped, well serviced, immaculate camp surroundings, efficient booking experience - top class all around. But, it's expensive for locals... bugger the tourists, I say.The natural beauty is, of course, what it's all about and it is... awesome. What about a discreet 'You're half-way there!' sign on the way to the Waterfall - it cannot be more crass than those crude yellow footprints and arrows daubed on mother nature's pristine and rugged beauty!?!? What about another dignified solution to the footprints?!?!It's expensive.(Your list of possible animal sightings is a wee bit ridiculous... we were at Storm's River... someone has shot out most of the list at right! We can't tick even 1, I'm afraid ) We did see some rather tame dassies and even sort of tame seagulls.SW ANDREWS

This was a lovely camp site. Facilities were very clean and neat. Staff were visible and active. We had a great time!

Carin Gerber

Absolutely fantastic campsites with very clean ablutions. Staff and services at the Park had been great. An absolute recommendation.

Danie Strydom

Why did I pay full price if there is a discounted rate at the time when I paid and stayed?

Maryke Brandt

Amazing time of year - to have the place almost to oneself with ringside seats next to a raging ocean with incredibly clear (turquoise-green) water. Very nice to have the chalets serviced each day. Only drawback is that they are a little drafty so it gets cold at night. There is a heater, but it's not very eco-friendly to have it on all night!

Peter Koch

You should consider modernising the decor in the chalet and replacing the stove which is not very effective.

Marc Cloete

The camp and accommodation is very well run and maintained and the staff is exceptionally friendly, making our whole stay a memorable one.

No hot water in ladies ablution block but this was quickly sorted out. Baboons are starting to be rather a nuisance and raid bins etcetera. The most beautiful views and very clean. Top marks to staff for efficiency.

We stayed in Storms in one of the huts, and it was awesome. Clean and I love the area. However, I dont mind paying the park fee for a day visit. I think that the park fee should be included in the overnight stay. Especially for South Africans. A lot of South Africans cannot afford to go.

Adele Phipps

It was a lovely stay. Just disappointing that our unit did not have a remote for the DSTV.

Edwin Wilson

Apart from appalling weather, accomodation was good, restaurant was very good. Noisy neighbors.

John Ackermann

Thank goodness the camp management cannot mess up the beauty, for the running of our chalet they just don't care what a shame no curtain, no shower door, fridge not working, after drying the bath room floor no shower door = very wet floor the wet towels were left for two days on the floor, no braai grill, no TV remote, lounge suit has colapsed maybe small thing but you still pay full price to be fustrated.

Chantel Campbell

The location is fantastic with breathtaking scenery. Unfortunately the Oceanette was not 100% functional. 1) I Specifically requested whether the unit had DSTV before booking and was informed yes. Yet we only had 4 channels - SABC1, SABC2, SABC3 & Supersport 1. After numerous complaints and a host of different excuses we were informed that the oceanettes only have four channels. Now one doesn't go on holiday to watch TV, but I do enjoy relaxing in the evenings watching a good movie or some decent channels that offer more than the junk on SABC. Being Winter the weather is really not suited for anything else.2. Underfloor heating for upstairs did not work which caused some discomfort. Not that serious, but no reduced rate offered. I paid the same rate someone would if the under floor heating worked. Needed to complain more than once before it was attended to, just to be told they can't fix it.3. Accommodation is very much of average standard. We travel down the garden Route once a year as it's such a beautiful part of the country. I doubt I will go back to stay at Storms again. I would rather just stay at the Tsitsikamma Lodge or The Fernery and do a day visit to Storms. Definitely over priced. We were never offered a different unit even though the Park wasn't fully booked. I was extremely disappointed with the manner in which our complaints were handled.

Billy Senekal

It was lovely clean and very nice. We had a wonderfull time.

Great location, stunning scenery, very comfortable beds. Had no coffee on Friday night 1st of June though when we stayed there and a hairdryer would be useful in winter, otherwise great!!We did the otter trail and saw a Genet on night 2, otherwise just dassies at the chalets.Best wishesElizabeth

When I made the booking I asked for a place that would accommodate three old ladies, and when we got there, our chalet had a lot of stairs, the camp was not full, but the management was not willing to move us to a more suitable chalet.

Very peaceful and tranquil. The open plan oceanette right on the seafront was very neat and homely with all the basic home appliances and what a bonus the underfloor heating was to ensure that we were kept warm and cosy. Park was beautiful and well kept. Returned home well rested and relaxed.

This is without fail one of the most beautiful locations in SA. Well worth the stay in one of the unique forest huts with ample provisions inside. However, be sure to check that your hut has an attached shower and toilet which makes it that much more convenient! We were unlucky to stay in the forest huts without these.

Tasmi Quazi

Hi there! The stay was lovely - accommodation very comfortable and the resort really great - special place to visit. However we visited the laundry to do our washing and the tumble dryer did not get hot - after putting our money in etc etc - we spoke to the person on duty and he said he needed to call in outside people to repair the machine - but sadly never came back to us regarding the machine - seeing that we had put money in and were unable to use it I feel we should have been given another machine to use at your cost - subsequently we had to dry our washing in the chalet as it was too cold to hang it outside!!Other than that we had a super holiday Kind regards

We had a very nice stay. It was a very pleasant experience. Thank you

The cottage we stayed in was fantastically located next to a very dramatic seascape. Accommodation was very comfy and the food at the restaurant very tasty. A lovely stop on the garden route with beautiful walks all around - definitely recommend staying here and not in Storms River Village.Only thing that could have been improved is to include the park fee into the overall cost beforehand.

this is a wonderful place for family holiday, we enjoyed it very much!

Lynette Kloppers

The cottage was well situated. We had excellent views of the coastline and the waves smashing against the rocks. In the evening we enjoyed just sitting on the veranda watching the rising moon and listening to the sound of the waves. Having a gull visit us on the veranda and a host of dassies below us were added enjoyments.I do have a complaint however. We arrived at 12:30 and at that time our hut had not yet being serviced. We had to stand around for about half an hour before we were able to carry our luggage up and settle in. We were made to believe that these cottages had to be vacated at 09:00. Since there were no occupants in the cottages either side of us surely there was time to service our particular one in time for our arrival. This is just a suggestion. Would it not be possible to have a TV in the cottage. We are keen rugby fans and would have loved to watch the evening games or some other favorite program ? It was pleasant enough just sitting on the veranda and watching the sea, but what if the weather had been bad? Many other self-catering accommodations offer TV.For the cost of these cottages one would expect just a little bit more. A further observation was the difficulty in getting to the suspension bridge. I was there 5 years previous (in exactly the same cottage)and getting to the bridge was not that difficult then. I quite understand that a new boardwalk had to be built because of damage to the previous one, but the current walk is limited to the fitter people only. Certainly not for the elderly or smaller children, especially the section towards the end of the walk nearest to the bridge. But after all I have said, we did enjoy our stay very much and given another opportunity we would certainly visit again. Our guests were equally enthralled.King regardsEddie Rafferty

I had a two night stay in a oceanette room at Storms River Mouth Rest Camp with wonderful views of the sea. The accommodation was clean, well equipped and serviced every day. The staff were very helpful and I found the public areas well maintained. I wish I could have spent more time there as so much to do in the park and the surrounding area.

Nola Moran

We have enjoy the time and stay at Storms river camp. the accomodation was super and well serviced. We had a wonderful experience at the mouth.

What an amazing view from our oceanette - waves crashing over the rocks & sunsets to die for. Highly recommend both the accommodation & the area. We did so much from walks, bungey jump, blackwater tubing & horse riding as well as just chilling with a beer looking at the views. We had a fabulous time & would definitley come back and stay for longer and hopeflly do the Otter trail though you have to book a VERY long time in advance. (Chris & Rose)

The visit was excellent and the facilities was very good. Ablutions, restaurant and accommodationI do have one problem which I brought to the attention of the shops staff. The presentation of the meat was exceptionally poor and unhygienic.plastic bags broken and meat frosted over.meat selection very poor.It will not pass a health inspection. For a place so far from other shopping centres and such beautiful braai facilities it is a shame that the meat fridge is in such a state. We stayed in the forest hut with no fridge facilities. To be honest this is resulting in a marketing opportunity being lost as people will bring their own meat.

Chrisvd Merwe

Our Otter walk was washed out, but the help, support and service we experienced was really commendable. Your reception staff, rangers, restuarant staff, everyone there are wonderful ambassadors of your organization.

We had an excellent stay at the National Park. The staff is very friendly and eager to accommodate your needs. The facilities is exceptionally neat and clean and easily accessible. We'll definitely visit again!!!

Forest huts were above expectations as they had inclusive ablutions. I understand these will be a separate and higher tariff next year. Storms River camp very clean and well maintained.

We arrived & discovered there was no TV in the cottage. With 2 kids I thought OMG they are going to be bored. To my surprise they did not even ask about it & when we left on the Sunday they commented that they did not even miss watching TV for nearly 3 days. We got to do things together as a family and spend time together that we do not always get to do at home because of hectic lifestyles. We absolutely loved the boat ride and got to see a hammerhead shark. The hike to the bridge was exhausting but exhilarating. Just sitting on the rocks and watching the waves - how relaxing. We definately will be making a return trip and has already told friends & family with little ones about our stay. Thank you for an awesome weekend break that was much needed.

T Sauls

The addition of the shower and toilet on site made was unexpected and welcome. Really enjoyed the ease to get around.

A beautiful quiete setting on top of the hill, with a private view of the suspension bridge. Perfect for a large family or friends, away from the holiday crowds but close enough to enjoy the hikes and beach.

Overall, a very enjoyable break. Family cottage would normally have been quite adequate but bad weather meant it felt a little cramped and cold.Facilities were good.Braai area was very difficult to use due to prevailing winds - some simple wind break would have been very useful.Staff were friendly and very helpful.Restaurant seemed slightly expensive and only average quality food. But more positives than negatives!

We saw lots of baboons and dassies. The stay in the park was real value for money. The park offers a lot of hiking trails in the form of day-walks which we really enjoyed. Would love to stay there again.I reccomend this park to anyone who seeks tranquility and peace. To go to bed with the sound of the sea in the background was a real privaledge.

Yes, our stay was great - the park is managed superbly and all facilities are in pristine condition. I noticed people doing exceptional maintenance during the off peak times like painting manhole lids!!!! I think the manager there deserves a pat on the shoulder???

We had an excellent stay at the honeymoon cottage, stormsrivermouth is breathtaking for the nature lover like me. The restaurant and shop was also good. The showers in the cottage was so nice, I bought myself three of the same shower-roses when I got home.

Nell Pretorius

We had a great time at the cottage in Stormsriver. My only comment would be that the outside braai area had only 4 chairs for a cottage that sleeps 8. The interior decor could be a little more natural and feels as though it should be in the city. The beds were great and comfortable. Overall a lovely weekend was had by us allThank you

Mrs A Edwards

We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite (no 17) & it was stunning!!! The check-in procedure was okay as their seemed to be a problem with the allocation of the room. We ate at the restaurant twice & thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I can only suggest that at the shop, you have a great variety of braai products i.e. pre-made salads, more meat variety etc. Overall, it was a great experience!

WOW!Such a fantastic location! Will definitely be visiting again. The oceanette was spotless and well equipped with more than enough space for 2 people. The only negative was that there is not a braai facility on the balcony (which we enquired about before hand and were assured there was one!).

Gavin Bartholomew

We stayed in a chalet over the Easter weekend and were pleasantly surprised as to the quality of the accommodation. It was much nicer than expected. The only negative comment I have in the lack of certain kitchen utensils. i.e. oven gloves (got burnt twice), oven dishes, knives etc. All in all a very lovely stay.

We had our first visit to the Tsitsikama Stormsriver mouth area this year. We were pleasantly surprised by the abundance of activities offered in and around the area. The service of the personnel were exceptional and we wish to thank them. We could take the kids to the big tree, the hanging bridge, Tsitsikama falls adventures etc. This is a fantastic family holiday destination and having the sea at your doorstep was magnificent.

Tsitsikamma is always very nice, the park is well maintained. Accommodation was fine, except that the freezer section was dirty and the rubber seal broken. After we complained, they swop the fridge with the one next door. The equipment should be checked carefully and cleaned properly and breakages should be repaired prior to guests complaining about that. Otherwise it was fine, but very expensive for South Africans.

Addo is unique in many ways. Only my excellent videos can reveal the once in a life-time experience in the greenest of greenest parkland as about 300 elephant went through their organized small group or "family" water-drinking sessions. And then in the end, as the mud bathing began, four lions appeared and made their way in between our cars. I repeat, only my videos can reflect this unbelievable experience. No where in the world is Kudu more abundant and it was a feast to see these gracious animals in this green paradise. Whatever the other four may be, Addo is one of the great five of Africa. I am 84, my wife 75. We have travelled the world and this Addo visit is a highlight of allexperiences we have had in nature.

Tranquility of the forest, mountain and rock formations and the pulsating power of the waves crashing into the rocks throwing gigantic sprays into the fresh air all make this place unique. The accommodation nestled into mountain and forest scenery is very special with breathtaking views. Definitely one of the "big five" South Africa has to offer.
